Title: how often do you change your engine and gear oils?

I change my engine and gear oil every 1000-1500km and always use fully synthetic oil in the engine, just wondered what everyone else was doing?

I have been changing my engine oil around once a month or 1000 km which ever comes first. I drive my scooter everyday to work during the week which is at least 30 miles a day round trip to work which doesn't include any extra driving I may do. So due to the amount of diving I do on it and amount of that which can be full throttle I feel it needs it that often. But an extra $10a month in oil is a good trade off in gas savings over driving my Tahoe to work.

As for gear oil that has been at intervals specified in manual that came with scooter and it has seemed fine at those changes.

Resolve, that $10 a month for oil is not much, we two-strokers use that in oil anyway.

I change my engine oil at 500-600 km in summer period
using 15 W-50 grade mineral oil.
4 liters can cost me 15 $, so it's 3-4 $ per one change.

Gear oil change at every 1500 km with sae 90 grade mineral.
1 liter bottle cost 8 $, about 1$ per change.

Generaly speaking, it's 10 $/ 1500 km.
often oil changes proved to be good choice in my experience.

At 16 000 km, with this service schedule, scooter still going strong and without problems.
