How do everyone, had a little browse but couldn't find what i was looking for.
I cut my CDI few days ago and it seems to have give me 7-9 more MPH, but looking to improve further with a Boss Drive then Hopefully Main jet (unsure what size???)
New to scooters so not to clever when it comes to them, but i will have a go at fitting it if it's not to hard, exactly were does it go? Also, will i have to get a bigger Main jet right away to compensate? or can i wait for a bit?
PS: Anyone know were i can buy one from? I'm in the UK. Link?
Cheers.

Here is a link to a drive boss from Scooter Assassins, but beware, streido bought one and his variator rattled, so I guess it might be a bit too long. That may have been an odd one though.

if you have a way of fileing the boss down smooth you can do that too I have seen that done.

Hi,
http://www.centralscooters.co.uk/variator-28mm-boss-p-3193.html (http://www.centralscooters.co.uk/variator-28mm-boss-p-3193.html)
More expensive than the link given previous. Stated as 10mm shorter than scooter assassins.
Brads

You would have to work out the best length to suit, too short and you will lose bottom end, too long and you could risk the variator opening too far, though I doubt you would risk the rollers coming out.
If you had the facilities, you could buy the longer one and try it, then machine it down a little and try again until you find the optimum length.

I temp refitted my scooter assassins boss the other week, seems ok but going to put my stock boss back in soon, only took it out cos I want to lathe off a fraction of a mm from the bit that was raised on it. Seems 1st time I did it I was a tiny, tiny bit off so while my variator slides on it fine, it feels less free where I lathed it.
Think the rattle I had was more to do with the plastic runner/bush bits on the ramp plate being slightly too wide to sit snugly on the guides, so it would rattle a little. Swapped out for the old oem variator plastics and is fine now even on the Scooter Assassins boss.
You should get around 39-43mph with the smooth boss, cut cdi and 82 main jet, sure I got about 42-43mph showing on the dial. Then you want to fit a race variator of some kind for better acceleration and a little more top end, gets you up to 48-50mph on a good day, maybe even 52mph down hill.
Think im going to knock up an all in one guide maybe this weekend on derestricting and basic easy tuning on the A50 for all newbies. I onow when I was learning the basics it was a bit confusing so be easier if all the info is in one easy to find place.
