Title: 1st road trip

helllo everyone! Im going on my first road trip next week with my x500 2009 and my dad with his yamaha majesty,2009 also, he has 890 miles and i have 3450 on mine. what do you recommend i take on the trip and anything you reccommend i do to the bike to prepare them for the ride? The ride will be 350 miles each way! I thank you for any feedback!!

Just check tire and fluids. Both scooters are very reliable.

I agree with TS1. Check fluids, tire pressures and go. Just got back from a 550 mile long weekend trip, and the XC ran like a champ. Don't know what part of the country you're from, but I'm in Ohio and it's been hot. Make sure to take plenty of water and stay hydrated.

PS watch for gravel, took my first slow speed spill while turning into a driveway and dumped the scoot, scratched the scoot , really bummed me out. But it still runs fine. Have fun !

Do you think the 250 would do allright on a 400mile trip?

I rode a 1975 200cc on a lot longer trips and never had a problem.  Pick a pace that the bike can keep comfortably and don't exceed it to keep up with bigger bikes.

I am planning a 7000 KM trip next year with my DT300I. I see no problem with you doing your trip. enjoy it.
