Title: Broke the bolts holding my seat to the luggage box hinge... need a fix!
Post by: Sadgasm on October 16, 2011, 01:45:47 AM
I took my seat off and while trying to put it back on I was tightening the bolts on the hinge, they snapped off without much effort (tragic)... One snapped off about a year ago when i tried doing this, now today it happened to the second and last one holding my seat on. Puts me in a bad situation cause it seems the screws are embedded in the plastic. Does anyone know a possible fix for this / do i need to buy a new luggage box.

here is a link to a site that sells the luggage box for about $60 (not counting shipping) anyone know a better site to get this part or a good fix? Any ideas are appreciated thanks!

what I suggests is drill small hole in the center of the broken bolts (2-3 mm) then use a reverse drill to exract then out.

A Screw Extractor will do the job.
