Title: Looking for BLUE matching paint
Post by: Vanceman201 on February 10, 2012, 03:34:34 AM
I am researching a match for the BLUE on my 2007 X500.
Was wondering if anyone has found a good match in a car parts store or
online.  I'd prefer to find something in spray can.  Any ideas?

Look up an auto paint supply in your area. They can mix the exact match. Ace Hardware as well as many other stores carry a product called Preva. It is a spray paint system for 7.00 USl http://www.preval.com/ (http://www.preval.com/)  You add your paint and spray.

Don't know if this would help but the parts manual I have lists these among others:

Bright Blue: PB107MA

Deep Blue:  PB244MA

I don't know if these are Kymco paint codes or universals or what.

Very nice job on the paint codes guys. They are Manuf. codes (paint supplier) But are useful to the shop that mixes your paint. One wrench in the gears tho. As the scoot is used outdoors the paint DOES fade slightly. A sample from the scoot is required to get an EXACT match. A good shop will look up the "recipe" as a guide line or base line color, and tweak it to match you specific bike. Bring a section w/ you as digital photos do not have the "life" to get the best match. This is what I do from 9-5. PAINT
