How do you know if you have 8mm or 10mm mirrors. Need to get new ones for the wife cause the left one keeps moving on its own.
It's for a 09 super8 150

..they probly have "compression" fittings that can be tightened with a wrench....

Down where it connects to the scoot it does but that's not where it's moving at. The mirror itself slowly droops down and there is no adjustment to tighten it.
-
..oh, well, that sucks....reckon there aint much to do with that...
:-\

Most all scoots are 8mm threads. All kymcos are 8mm

Cool. Thanks

Take the back cover off the mirror if you can and inside there should be a screw or nut to tighten where it joins the stem. Tighten that up a bit and it should be fine.
-
If it is same as my mirror, it has 2 nuts where it can be adjusted & tightened.

This is where this forum shines... Sip is a quality company. They sell hi end parts, and have pretty fair prices. I would trust they are good mirrors. What I mentioned about shining: I have been looking for "drop down" mirrors, and have only found garbage. I will be looking for those elsewhere cause in the states we have to order 100.00 min. or maybe more now. I personally think it's the best set I've seen. Maybe you wont have to have a min. order? Or maybe order three pairs cause I could use two pair. I'd pay pal first for them...
I guess that's a yes vote from me. They're good.
I think Those, and a pair of bar end mirrors gives you the most coverage in the most important places.

One reason I can think of that piece comes off is that you COULD cut into the body of the mirror now and try to see if there's something to tighten up. Then put the piece back on and the hole will be hidden.
-
Or spend 25 bucks, and be done w/ it.

My mirrors are aftermarkey ones and they looks identical to yours but when i take off that back piece i got a hole and access to the nut ??? If it was me i'd cut the hole in them and try fix it since theyre broken anyway, if it fails then no probs since you would be ordering new ones anyway.

Thanks for the thoughts. I'm just gonna buy the wife a new set in a week or two. Got some maintenance to catch up on with the cars first.
-
yours are like mine. It's just a socket the stem sits in and mine got a crack in it so now it's loose. I tried some glue or tape for more resistance but realized I'd need to get a new one. Maybe an after market like the one mentioned the next time I need to replace the mirror.

Ebay is FULL of cheap mirrors. BE CAREFULL of how cheap. Many of the China sellers have a disclaimer stating " This item may or may not be in perfect condition. Keep this in mind when ordering"

These guys have almost everything you need.

Yea, unless there is a specific brand name thing that I am just trying to see if I can get a good price I don't use eBay to much. Lots of cheap products are on there and a lot of sellers with to high o f prices.
-
It appears to be a trend on ebay as of late. Even GREAT sellers are raising prices across the board. No more 5 cent soda pop.

The first thing you'll notice about cheap mirrors is how they shake/vibrate. Also, a lot of cheap mirrors use flat surfaced mirrors. Coverage is limited. So, If you want to buy cheap mirrors, buy in a store so you can inspect and compare. I would not recommend buying on line.
