Title: Starter Issue
Post by: pauldavid1977 on May 13, 2012, 07:12:08 PM
Hello,

I bought anew 2012 Kymco Agility Scooter 125 yesterday.   After the scooter has cooled down from being rode when I press the starter the scooter tries to start but doesnt, if I give it a little gas it starts right up.   Also, if I turn it off and turn it right back on, it always starts right back up no problem.

The dealer is about 30 miles from me, so if this is just a simple setting I would like to try and attempt it myself.

Do you all have any suggestions?

30 miles sounds like a nice ride, and considering your scoot is new, you're not supposed
to mess around with anything or you'll loose your warranty for when (if) something bigger
happens.

It is NOT a fuel injected scoot, and will need to have a bit of throttle to start. NON ISSUE!

Um, yeah, 20 years ago.

No Kymco should need any throttle to start.
They got automatic choke.

But the issue is probably just a low idle.
