Title: wish my people gti300 had a radio
Post by: kidbuffalo on August 30, 2012, 09:27:07 PM
 >:( I see other scooters out there that have radios. I don't think the kymco could handle the power it would require though. Unless someone did add one already. Anyone know if it could be done ?

Radios and cup holders are for some reason strictly American things.

strictly American?? I don't think so.... We import and sell lots and lots of motorcycle sound systems here... including drink holders, and even karaoke for motorcycles...

These things are not used in Europe on motorcycles/scooters.

like windows on a submarine.

Cannot hear it good and it disturbs everyone around. :(

Kinda my take on it. I know a guy with an Agility125 who lives in my complex. He put together a stereo rig, with speakers coming off the mirrors, IIRC. I have to imagine he has very little room left in the pet carrier. I'll have to get him to show that to me, sometime.

I'd go the earbud route if I had to have music while riding (I don't -- I'm a(n amateur, and not-very-good) musician, and sometimes compose while riding... other times, I just play back my favorite tunes in my head).  :)  ONE EARBUD ONLY, PLS... had a friend get into a bad scrape with his scooter wearing his earbuds. He was riding with a small group, and kinda panic-stopped when he saw the group pulling off. Turns out they heard the ambulance siren, and he didn't. He went down, and was injured and out of riding for about six months.

Some audio set-ups are intended to be heard by others on the road....  ;D ;D ;D
