Hey all!
New rider here with a question. Yesterday the Oil Service Light came on. I have read the manual and checked all fluids which are at good levels. Had the oil changed about 1500 miles ago. Any thoughts as to why this light came on?
2009 XCiting 250, 3300 miles
I am also going to cross post on the 500 forum.
Thanks, its good to be here!!

Interesting post as I am having the same problem on my People GTI. Just changed oil last week and the light just came on.

The light comes on more by mileage intervals than by need. Can't remember the exact sequence, but I believe that while the Scoot is up on the center stand and running, you press down on the little button on the right side of the instrument cluster and turn the ignition off then back on. If you play around a little bit you will get it.

The oil service light turns on when it's time to change oil as dictated by the mileage. You just have to reset it to turn the light off. Not sure how though...

When all else fails...read the owners manual.

My xc 250 oil light every 1000 miles. I changed the oil every 1000 miles. I came across a sale on Mobil one synth and bought 12 quarts for $100 bucks.
Now I have a 2009 xc 500 fi every 2500 miles 2.5 quarts of oil.
