Title: New guy; new Kymco
Post by: disinfected on September 17, 2012, 03:05:30 PM
Okay, well not exactly new, as it's a 2009..

But anyways, I'm posting here from Oklahoma City, appears this is the place to be for all my Kymco needs.

After about a month and a half of looking around at all different types of scooters, I picked this one up down in Dallas at a bargain price. I love it!

Now if only I could get this weather to straighten out so I can get it out some more. What do you guys think?

The cap only falls off on douches.

Better check all the nuts and bolts, they loosen up with vibration, if the last owner would have had a 10mm socket, you'd still have a cap.

Prolly all they had was a half caff latte` and a prune scone, and that only works to loosen the stool.

LOOK AT ALL MY FANS!

Y'all might try getting off the 'puter and out in your community with other scooter trash, sometime. You might enjoy it!

(EDIT) CAUTION: There are some scooter trash who may not be total Kymco fanboys, so if that's an issue for ya, you might as well stay home with the Cheetos.  ;)

No Pizza,
I have only been a member for a brief period of time and you always sound like and angry little man. JP you write in a very passive-agressive style filled with snide, flippant remarks that benfit no one including yourself. Identify your very close friend and ask him/her to coffee and being brutally honest share with him/her your insight into your personality. This is difficult I know but your a smart guy you can do it. Ask your friend to provide an opportunity for expression of concerns, questions, problems, and ventilation of feelings. Ask him/her to provide components of education, emotional support, reassurance, and positive feedback. Agree to meet and do this at least weekly.Be honest and forthrigt. But no pizza.

Mike, are you related to Bill Frist?  He was very confident of his ability to remotely diagnose patients, too. In his favor, he did have a medical degree. Do you, as well?

Title: Re: New guy; new Kymco
Post by: Mike Green on September 25, 2012, 05:06:15 PM
No JP, I'm not related to Dr. Frist. Never heard of him. And no diagnostics going on here. It's easy for any of us here to assess your emotional, behavioral, and cognitive status and form an opinion of someone who is depressed, anxious, and insecure. And the suggestions I made I try to use them in my own personal day to days. They help me and can improve every man. If you have the nads to implement them you should identify an improvement in your day to days.
Sincere best wishes,
Mike

Post by: Mike Green on September 25, 2012, 08:00:24 PM
Sorry Masscoot,
I think he had me at "scooter trash". Down here in the South that has such a strong relationship with "white trash" and it's tainted with bigotry and prejudicial thinking and that is no longer permitted in my life and my family's life. A person's race and socio/economic standing are not allowed to be ridiculed, even on a scooter forum.
I'm beginning to become aware of how low this guy can go and he's starting to get to me. So Mr. Jp let's stop this. You win. Again. I just can't compete with your type of mental prowess.

Ah, sh**, now ya done it, jprestoneantifreeze, with yer too clever by half insinuation that Republicans don't ride scooters.

It sure does strike me as odd, though, that if Mike would have had a People 250, and you would have had a Xciting 500i, you'd both still be riding 'em.

You gotta hit the nail with a hammer.

Wow, that sounds... so sincere. Hell, you even used the word "sincere," which is how I knew you were being sincere! I will surely have to re-evaluate my first impression of you, Mike, as a butthurt Kymco fanboy know-nothing douchebag with an Internet connection, and instead consider you as a potentially untrained, unskilled Internet-connected armchair psychologist giving unsolicited advice, and hence give your deeply-insightful advice all due consideration!

PROTIP: The insult lands solidly if it makes fun of a decal actually on the target's scooter, otherwise... eh, not so much. It ends up being rubber/glue/12yo-with-Pshop. Which I guess is okay, if that's the best one can do.

You are welcome.

Mike: To me, I think JP is a lonely soul. I always found that people like him has some type of underlyling issues. None of us are perfect, but JP is simply annoying IMHO. He can never anwser a question or reply without being an idiot. If I looked like JP, I wouldn't be too happy either. Best course? Simply don't interact with him. As of last week, that's what I decided to do. Funny...He says he is all done with the Kymco forums, yet he still comes back! I find that too be sad & lonely myself.

You efete, squirmy, egocentric little man. You have nothing and you are worth nothing.

I have little, but my worth has already been testified to, right here, in this very forum. I know you don't want to hear it, because I didn't polish the chrome of your new purchase, and supply you with much-needed confirmation and approval of your excellent consumer decision-making. However, you'd better get used to the fact that I'm here, I like beer, and you're going to be a minor hobby for me until you dry up and float away.

Btw, do you mean "effete," or do you intentionally use words without knowing the usage and spelling?  And if "effete," what specifically strikes you about me as "effete"?  Or again, is it something you heard someone use as an insult once, and thought you'd try it out where no one was smart enough to ask you if you knew what it meant?

Alright...  I've been reading this volley of insults and giggling as the two of you attempt to tear each other down.  You had both managed to keep your insults directed at each other and I was ok with that.  It was like watching an incredibly slow argument on a poorly cast reality show.  However, now you've tried to insult everyone on the board.  Which makes me wonder why you get such pleasure out of dealing with people that you seem to feel are so inferior to you.

Btw... If this is the only place that you're able to feel like you've got power, then I feel so sorry for you.  No one should have to live their life feeling so diminished all of the time.  On a serious note, if this is accurate, I would sincerely suggest getting involved in something that involves you stepping away from the computer and get involved in a charity that gives you a sense of worth and personal power.

That is a true statement. Its a shame this forum has no rules and is not moderated like other responsible forums. Serious Kymco owners deserve better than this.

For the record, I like the forum just the way it is. You can't say members don't get answers to their questions. Then we f' around. It's fun! Or you could just complain all the time, insult the members, say you're leaving, then post more than ever. Are you one of those people that needs to draw attention to yourself all the time? Are you lonely with all your cats? Not getting any ass? Can't get it up anymore? I'm so sorry your life sucks and all you have is internet blogs about your cats and scooter forums.  :D :D :D ..... P.S. Those are emoticons of me laughing at you.  ;D

Thaks JP!
Effete/efete...thanks for the lesson in semantics. An effete man has little character or strength to follow through with tasks in his life. You caught me and I'm very impressed with how much smarter you are than me. Please don't waste your vast intellectual and emotional energy on me. Evidently you have much greater fish to fry. Oops
Now, having been dealt one of life's challenges, dyslexia, I spent many years learning to reassemble words in my mind until reading and spelling came quite easy. I don't use SpellCheck and I do make an occasional mistake, but so what, there are always these great intellectual giants such as yourself to correct me. Thanks
Mike

Bootscooterboogie and Old geezer,
Thanks for your assessment and comments. The most honest and appropriate statements on this
thread. Sometimes it is therapeutic and educational to read your behavior mirrowed back at you and
I am sorry for how distasteful I have become in the eyes of the other forum members. I stand corrected. Thank you again,

If we poke fun at one another it should be without intent to hurtor mame. Answers to scooter question do get asked and answered here quite well, if it weren't for the banter the forum would be quite dull. It's no different then a car forum or boating forum, you have sub forums for a reason, to make friendships and bond with fellow members.

I don't know...  I'm a member of a couple of different scooter forums and this one seems to be the most informative AND the most fun.  It would seem to me that when a thread goes off topic and you're sick of reading the banter, then just stop clicking on that topic.  Every question I've seen asked has gotten a very good and informative answer.  And, when the topic inevitably goes off track, then I either quit reading it or stay tuned.  Either way, it's my choice.

I have to warn you.....I started with a 250 than to a 300 and now settled in with a 500RI, Kymco Exciting. I never thought I would be on a bike again. Not meant as an attack, an insult or a complaint, just an observation.

About 6 months after I bought my Super 8 I bought a Yager so when my Son visits me in florida we could both ride. Loved my Yager so much that I bought a second Yager so this year we will be riding equal rides but... I liked my Super 8 so much that I had to keep it (not trading it in). I have over 5500 miles on it and use it for all my local running (10-24 miles).
For all the talk about fuel injection there just seems to be a subtle smoothness with the carb that I enjoy (am I the only one?).
Anyway enjoy it too much to part at this time but it is work riding all 3 each week to keep them running smooth.
I know its a hard life but someone has to do it and compared to taking care of my ex wifes horse hobby, these are easier :)

But anyways, I'm posting here from Oklahoma City, appears this is the place to be for all my Kymco needs.

Now if only I could get this weather to straighten out so I can get it out some more. What do you guys think?

Hello Disinfected - nice scoot you have and welcome to the forums!   :)

As you may have noticed sometimes things go off track a bit around here.  If you can put up with the "entertainment" and stick around, you will find it to be a great technical resource if you need help with something in the future...

Now I'm off to explain to the wife that I'm late meeting her because I had to finish reading these 9 pages..  ;)
