Im in Mo, were 10%ers too, I havent used any stabilizers in any of my rides and so far so good after 8 years of them doing the 10% crap. I heard chinese metal doesnt react well to the ethanol but no proof to me yet.

SeaFoam helps keep it all clean. When you store for winter, use sta-bil if you keep some petrol in it.

Martyf250,
I am in RI also....no issues from using the 10% ethanol...my mechanic also indicated it should not be an issue.  Where in RI are you, if you don't mind?

I a fanboy of additives myself. I use the following:

StarTron Ethanol Fuel Treatment (every time I fill-up) Just needs a tiny amount.

Stabil Fuel Stabilizer (every other time I fill-up) Needs about an once for every gallon. I always use it before my last fill-up @ the end of the season (New England) It's not nessasary to use Stabil every other fill-up, but I've been doing it for years now & have had no issues. Be sure to fill-up your tank & run it for 5-10 miles before you put your scoot away.

I also use the cheap Gumout FI & Carburetor every other tank as well.

I have done this for years now & my motorcycles & my GY6 scooter engines! Guess what? In the Spring...I uncover my scoot & turn on the ignition & it starts within a couple of turns! I don't care what anyone says....Additives "do" help! It's not "snake-oil" sales!

Marty - I am in Pawtucket, near both the South Attleboro and Seekonk lines.  I haven't made it down to ride on the Island yet....still trying to figure which bridge is best to go over. :)

My New Yager GT 200I manual says do not use Ethanol. That's all we can get around here.
I checked the People GT 200I and Downtown 200I and they don't say anything about it.
The Yager manual says it was written in 2008 so maybe it's allowed now? I emailed Kymco
today to ask...

The email came back as undeliverable. I had used the address from their US web site. Hmmm
I wonder what's up with that?
