This was my first Patriot Guard ride. I was invited by a friend. The soldier was at Fort Jackson South Carolina when he passed away. There were about 40+ riders.
Watch for the police escorts, the red lights, and the cops saluting as we go by. I was on the Yager and we took Interstate 126 to escort the hearst to Columbia Metropolitian Airport. I'm pretty much the last bike in the line.

YagerMySter, Very Very nice....thanks for taking the time to go, shoot and edit into this video presentation. It takes some time and work to do so but at the same time I know you enjoyed it. I went on a ride for the homeless vets...400 some bikes and only shot stills.
Next time I will try using my GoPro. What size is your Yager? I was running my 500RI and had no problem with the 100 some mile trip.Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks Syl, The Yager is a 200i (about 175 cc). I live in the Columbia area. I know my Yager will do 60 MPH but I never ride the Interstate. I made an exception in this case :-) We never went over 50 though becase there was bus of Army staff leading the way.

That's awesome! Things like this mean a lot to me because a few of my drivers are National Guard that have done a couple of tours and I have a cousin who has gotten 3 purple hearts in Afghanistan. They gave him the option to come home twice, but he doesn't want to leave his unit. So... we just keep the prayers going that getting hospitalized 3 times was enough... or worse...
Anyway, awesome vids and awesome event!! Thanks for posting!

That's great. Families really do appreciate the support, even though you may not interact with them directly. I'm a member of the PGR in Indiana and have participated on several missions. A good friend of mine is a Senior Ride Captain and has worked with many of the families in our area who have lost their loved one. Knowing there are so many who appreciate their sacrifice brings them some comfort. And being a part of the escort ride and getting to see the people lining the route saluting and displaying flags is pretty awesome.
