Hello, Ihave a major problem withmy xciting 500 2005 .
i have changed the brakepads with the original ones and used the book from kymco , after i had changed the pads the brake pads are pushing the disk and i am worried now that the brake disk is overheating .
i can turn the wheel with one hand but there is resitance .
please i need advice i use the machine for driving to work every day about 175 kilometers.

Hello Hans,
is it really the brake pads dragging the rear wheel? Usually with squeaking sound while turning the wheel? And you can't insert a thin thickness gauge between disk and brake pads (after a short riding)?
The final gear makes the wheel quite sluggish too!
But if it is the brakes, you might have made an assembly error. Perhaps reconsider your steps.

A little resistance and noise of the pads sliding against the rotor is normal, more so with new pads. Alot of resistance is not normal. I would take it on a short ride, stop and then touch the rotor to see if it is really hot to touch or not. Don't burn your self. :-*
