Title: Where to buy super9 AC reeds...
Post by: Superstu on December 16, 2012, 04:51:10 AM: I have been looking everywhere for reeds for my super 9. I can't seem to find them bc I have a chip in one of mine. Help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I have a bbk so I think stock reeds probably would flutter.

..there is a "hump" at the bottom that wont let the belt ride all the way down...

Post by: Areomyst on December 21, 2012, 06:27:11 PM: If you get those reeds, and they work, let me know. I think I remember reading somewhere that they do not work on the Kymco engines, but I don't recall for sure. The OEM reeds in these are actually pretty good.

Wordslinger is correct, the reeds are the same in all modern horizontal 2-stroke Kymco engines that I am aware of. There were some older ones that had the reeds on the cylinder, but I don't ever ever see them.

did you tryed the malossi reed on super 9 AC? i also have the AC, no LC so i'm not sure they will fit but i suspect that they are the same...
