I have been looking everywhere for reeds for my super 9. I can't seem to find them bc I have a chip in one of mine. Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you want stock Stadium Yamaha has the complete reed assembly.
14100 14100-KEB7-900 VALVE COMP REED $33.48
Or powersportswarehouse.com is cheaper
14100 14100-KEB7-900 VALVE COMP REED $28.18
Stadium Yamaha is a known good provider of spare OEM parts.

-
I see that they are for the LC model. I have the AC model are the reeds the say for both models?
Also I have a bbk so I think stock reeds probably would flutter.
Thanks
stu

...you may be right...didnt know you had bbk...
..i'm pretty sure th reeds are same for both...
-
Ok thanks
-
..super9, ppl, cobra...believe they all oem same...
-
Malossi reeds are the same for all the ones wordslinger meantioned.
-
Thanks so much been trying to find that out for ever. What size roller or slider do you use on your S9?
-
..i'm running 6.5 gram Dr Pulley sliders...
..keeps nina in th power, and tops out @ 65 indicated....
-
Wow 65 do you have upgraded gears? I only get to 50 and it's revin so high I let off.
-
..no, nina is oem final drive...
..its all good fuel mix and cvt..
..do you have unrestricted driven pulleys?...
..the ac will never perform like th lc...
-
Yes it has the restricted boss out. I with I could have got the LC.
-
..no, not the boss...the driven pulleys...
..there is a "hump" at the bottom that wont let the belt ride all the way down...
..think i have pics in my "sister-sister" thread....
-
...here they are...
..top is unrestricted...bottom is resticted
..click on pic for larger view...
-
I will have to look. I bought the scoot a few months ago. It has a few aftermarket parts bbk exhaust ect. To Derestrict the pulley do you have to buy a new one?
-
To Derestrict the pulley do you have to buy a new one?
...pulley(s), and yes...you must buy replacements...
-
If you get those reeds, and they work, let me know. I think I remember reading somewhere that they do not work on the Kymco engines, but I don't recall for sure. The OEM reeds in these are actually pretty good.
Wordslinger is correct, the reeds are the same in all modern horizontal 2-stroke Kymco engines that I am aware of. There were some older ones that had the reeds on the cylinder, but I don't ever ever see them.
