I tryed using 23/12 16 gram rollers ,,. made it by putting heat shrink around it,. dont work! next I am trying 1 mm spacer behind variator,,. going for a run now !!! hope it works to get the RPM down ,.

I did about 20 km. and it lowered the RPM a little, before I got 100 km. at 6,000 RPM. now I got 102 km. at 6,000 RPM. going to try 2mm. shim next ,.

Be careful about shimming the variator. It can cause the belt to be out of alignment. This produces more heat and quicker wear of the belt, even catestrophic failure that can da.age the variator and the clutch. If you can keep the belt alignment in the normal range you should be okay. You may be able to order heavier weights of the right size that might help.

2 mm. is not going to change the angle of the belt ,. thats under 1/8 of a inch. I was reading about racing and they were selling a set up for changing how high the belt came up the variator, mine does not rise to the top till 7,500 RPM. and thats free wheeling,. on the scooter stand,. it is that or buy a new variator racing type,.
