General Discussion / Re: Need Service Manual for People S 200
« on: September 03, 2008, 01:30:58 AM »
I have also been looking for this without luck, and so far I have not received any replies to several persons on various forums....BUT I did find an excellent explanation about how to remove the REAR portion of the S200 in order to access the spark plug, engine, rear light, etc. COMPLETE WITH PICTURES!
Try this site:   http://scooterfan.wordpress.com/2008/08/27/s200-maintenance-spark-plug/

Now, if you find a source for the Service Manual, kindly let me know.

General Discussion / Adding LED Lighting
« on: August 25, 2008, 11:24:44 AM »
I don't know if this is a topic of interest to anyone but;  I would like to add extra brake and/or running lights to the rear of our People S 200.  There is a company (Admorelighting) that sells LED kits for several models of the GIVI Top Box, but not for the model we have (E30).  I have found a simple LED unit at local stores which is intended to be a trailer running light in both red and amber for about $6.  My question; can 1 or 2 of these simply be wired to the brake and/or tail lights without an inline fuse or anything?
Thanks to anyone who replies.

People s200 / Re: proud new ownder of a PEOPLE S 200, black!
« on: August 04, 2008, 10:20:43 PM »
Hello all.  I just discovered this FORUM, and just have to chime in.  I also recently bought a used S 200 in north Dallas; mine is also black, 2007, 500 miles, a year left on the warranty, and paid $2500 with a GIVI top box.  Found mine looking around on Craigslist within 200 miles of my home (Oklahoma City).  The Kymco dealer is about 3 blocks away from me here in OKC, but even if they could get an S 200, it would be around $1000 higher.  I bought mine for my wife to learn to ride around on, as  I have a Yamaha VStar 650, but the SCOOT is more fun around the neighborhood and I frequently "borrow" it.
I should mention that I did not get an owner's manual yet from the seller, but I found a Kymco site  elsewhere on this forum and downloaded the manual this morning!!!!  "Thanks" to this Forum!  I will make this a regular stop when on the computer.
