Thanks for the info and the picture. I had mine replaced twice and my 2 yr. warranty runs out next month.I am going to try this when it sticks open again. Of course it will go bad after the warranty expires! ::)

Are you having good luck with the grip hand warmers? What brand do you have? I was thinking if I installed them on my
250s I would blow fuses and/or kill the battery.

I go through the same thing when I ride to work. One day I was glad I was on the scooter when two drivers in front of me got out of their cars and started fighting! I rode up on the sidewalk and made my escape. ;D

I know how you feel Mike. The starter went out on my 2009 people s 250 and it took 9 weeks to get a new one. I was lucky I had my motorcycle to ride till i got my scooter back.
A friend of mine wrecked his Piaggio mp3 scooter and it took 4 months to get parts.

Finally got my scooter back. It took 9 weeks. The dealer was great, they always kept me updated by contacting me once a week to let me know what's going on. I know the owner and the mechanic on a first name basis now.

I have a 09 people s 250 with a starter that went out. The only reason I took it to the dealer because it was under warranty. They told me the starter was on back order. I am getting a little frustrated because it's been at the dealer for almost a month! >:( Has anyone else have this problem with Getting parts?

Hey Scarlett, I assume you live in the columbus, ohio area as I do. I want to inform you about a big scooter rally that is at the north market every year in late sept. last year they had around 200 scooters show up. It is called scoot-a-que. It's a must-see event. I think they had a facebook page.

Thanks zombie, I think the mice have moved out. I've set out a few traps to see what happens.

Problem solved. Turns out when I stored the scoot in my shed for a couple of weeks to work on my motorcycle a family of mice moved in  the air filter box.
When I took the air box cover off the filter was completely clogged with Insulation.
I looked in the shed that I just built last summer I found out  mice had moved in and used my roll of insulation in the corner as bedding in the air filter box. I need to borrow my neighbors cat. :D

People 250 / carb or stator problem?
« on: May 15, 2012, 02:10:32 AM »
I have a 2009 people s250. Took it out tonight and it started to cut out when i got above 40 mph. It idles and revs fine. I always use high octane gas and over the past winter I always added sea foam when I filled up. I'm leaning towards the stator ???. I'm lucky that it's still under warranty.

I installed an led tailight on my people s 250. I hate to tell you this but you have to darn near take the scoot apart.  You have to take off the rear fender, rack, seat and storage area. Then you have to remove side covers below the seat. Very time consuming.
