I read about adjusting the oil injection it may be putting too much oil in the fuel tank while its mixing. Im looking at the manual and it doesnt tell me how to adjust it.  I also read about cheap aauto parts oil. I always use auto parts oil and it never smoked. Do you guys think it could have vaught up to me? Could it be running too lean? My old spark pkug was while full of carbon deposits would i adjust that o. The car?

I know i ask a lot of questions and i appreciate all of your help. Too broke to take it to a shop.

See i dobt know that much about scooters mechanically, but im a very handy person. My kymco people 50 is a 2 stroke scooter. The blue smoke coming out  of the exhaust means its burning oil. Leaky valves is what im being told it might be. If its not leaky valves what could it be thats causing it to smoke so much? It never smoked until it sat for so many months.

yeah i have the right oil. I think its oil slipping through the valves. I just dont know how to see if thats it or how to fix it.

Ok update I bought a new cap, spark plug is installed and now it blows blue smoke a lot!  I also feel like it lost a bit of power as well. Im reading its the valves or it could be running too rich? What do you guys think? I thought this would do it  :-\

It is weird unless its supposed to be that way. I dont see how bc my new spark plug has the medal peice attached. ??? Weird... and I was trying to pull it out of the spark cap but it wouldn't move at all. I tried pulling it with pliers and everything. Thankfully I found they sell the cap alone. Just  have to order and started her up. Ill definitely update

Ok so this is going to sound weird but long story short  I changed the gear oil when I first got the scooter. The next time I thought I was changing the oil and got confused. But anyway no engine oil ever in the gears. I know I did  that right lol. As im researching I realized that I dont have to change the engine oil just added when its low. before I left fort lauderdale I accidentally put 4 stroke oil instead of 2 so I drained it directly from the oil container.   So today I did what I previously wrote,  replaced the gear oil, bought a new spark plug and oxane booster but didnt put that in yet.

Now something new.. The tip of the spark plug which is usually a metal peice was stuck in the wire and for the life of me I couldnt get it out. So now I hVe to buy a new wire before I know if any of this worked  :-\
My old spark plug was burnt like ashes and it also had oil in the spark plug socket. That cant be good. :: sigh::

hi everyone! Im new to the site and have to sayin theres a wealth of info here  :)
Well, I have a 2002 Kymco People that I adore. I made a moved from fort lauderdale to Tampa and here im not able to ride her as much bc of all the highways around me. Anyway so she was sitting for about 5 months and I pulled the carb cleaned her up real nice. She had a rough start but eventually turned on. To my surprise she was blowing a lot of pure white smoke. I was told to put a bit of seafoam but that didnt stop the smoke at all! I put some fresh fuel and shes still smokin smh. She runs great but the smoke is embarrassing and it smells like something is burning. The exhaust pipe has a bit of burnt oil in the end.

Ive had her for a year and a half and I've changed the transmission oil once and regular oil changes (without cleaning the screen bc I just found out where it was).

Today im headed to get some oil to replace the old and was told octane boost would eliminate the smoke.

So any recommendations?
How many quarts do you guys used just in case im putting too much?
How do you clean the oil screen?

Thanks again!
