Thanks for all of the replies. I did end up finding an air tube that I must have knocked off when removing the seat to change the spark plug. Reattached the tube and everything works fine now.

For Sale / 2009 Grand Vista For Sale
« on: May 29, 2012, 12:32:47 AM »
I have a 2009 Grand Vista that I am selling in order to purchase an Xciting 500Ri ABS from a local dealer. It has less than 3000 miles on it and runs and looks great. All of the scheduled maintenance has been completed including new spark plug at 2000 miles. I live in Cecil County, Maryland which is in the northeast corner near PA and DE. I do have a trailer and can transport the bike a reasonable distance (up to 100 miles). Asking $2750. Anyone interested can respond to this post and I will get back to them.

Grandvista 250 / My GV developed a sputter
« on: May 06, 2012, 09:03:02 PM »
Recently my 2009 Grand Vista 250 (2100 miles) has developed a sputter at idle. It sounds as though it is going to stall, but does not quite stall. I have tried adjusting the idle speed and either it idles to high or to low and stalls. Can't seem to get it right. It was time for oil change so I did that and changed the spark plug. Neither of these helped. The bike also revs really high when started from cold and seems to take a while to come down to a "normal" idle. It has not sat much during our mild winter months; rode a few times a month during winter months, so gas should be fine. If anyone has any suggestions, I am willing to try just about anything.

Grandvista 250 / Speakers on Scooter
« on: October 03, 2011, 10:00:29 PM »
Has anyone tried any of the different speaker/ipod mounts out on their GV250? I saw a guy in a gas station recently that had speakers mounted in his topcase on his scooter. I was curious about doing something to take music with me on my scooter.

Thanks.

Mine is about 5% optimistic. I have checked at several speeds with different GPS's. I would rather it be that way than the other way around.

Bought my 2009 GV250 used in May 2011 with 300 miles on it. Have ridden some over the summer and commute to work (15 miles each way) at least twice a week since school (I am a teacher) started in fall. Getting 60+ mpg and easy to cruise at 55-60 on secondary highway to work. Love the bike. Even the lady at the MVA when I took my riding skills test really liked the bike.

85 on the speedometer, 80 on a GPS. All on level highway.

Grandvista 250 / Speedometer
« on: August 29, 2011, 03:53:15 PM »
I recently temporarily attached a GPS to my 09 GV and noticed a little difference between the GV speedometer and the speed read on the GPS. The scooter is 3-5 mph slower than the GPS. Has anyone else noticed that their speedometer seems to be a little slow? Is there a way to adjust the speedometer? As long as I know this, it's not a big deal, especially in this direction.

Thanks.

Grandvista 250 / New GV and Cold Start
« on: June 11, 2011, 06:18:14 PM »
Hello everyone. I recently bought (1 week ago) a 2009 Grand Vista 250 with just 377 miles on it. I have put roughly 100 miles on it this week. I have noticed that it takes a few tries and a little gas from the throttle to start it when it is cold. It starts right up when it is warm. Is there something I should check or adjust? Other than that, it has been a great ride with plenty of power and quite comfortable.
