Ive read it, but everyone seems to have a different opinion about break in... the dealer told me to not max it out the first few weeks. I try not to go too fast, but i have to ride the interstate to work. Im pretty happy this bike has a clock! my pcx didnt. Cant imagine why though....

Xciting 250 / just moved up from a PCX

First time rider, i went out and bought a Honda PCX in may, but quickly realized i needed something with a little more top out. So i took a ride up to my local kymco dealer where they were shocked to see i traveled on the I-state with the top speed of 60mph on my pcx. They did a trade in and 1300 cash out the door for my new xciting 250. I love it. My only negative, is im a short guy at 5"9 and i can barely reach the road at stops, so backing that baby up is tough, plus its a tad heavy..... almost 200 heaver than my honda. So far the gas mileage seems allright, i got 60 out of the first gallon. I travel comfortably at 70mph on the i-state, but i read on here something about the "redline" should i not do 70 for an extended amount of time? i was hoping to take this bike home next summer (its 400 miles away and all interstate) any advice for a newbie?
