Thanks for the imput.   light came on middle of nowhere and i went  16 miles  to gas station.    Yes, i was worried about pushing it, but thankfully it did not come to that.

I've had two xciting 500 scooters.  An 07 and an 09.  It is very reliable and just a blast to ride.  Also inexpensive to operate.  You will be happy with this bike which is significantly faster than the scooter you have been riding.   Rides more like a sport bike than a scooter, and You can tour long distance as well.   I sold my 09 and the 07 has about 23,000 miles on it and still going strong.

I ordered the full front fairing after son  dumped the bike.   arrived inside a week, and very easy to install myself.   front fairing was  $140 if i remember correctly.

Unless You have a ton of miles on your bike, you don't need a new belt.   There are no belts available that  are better than the original Kymoc belt/s.

I'll buy one.  Have a couple of exciting  500s.  Fun and reliable.  I would wager  the Myroad  700  is a better value than  Suzuki, Honda or the BMW.   Have not seen one here yet.  Arizona.

Yes, ego  will keep these bikes a great deal  for  a while.    More fun and convenient than the other 7  or so bikes i have owned in the last 2 years.   The only bike  that  was allowed to stay in the stable  was my 2007 x500.   Runs as if brand new with over 20,000 miles on it.
