Scott, I'm just over the mountains from you, in Ellensburg. It's a great place to ride a scooter.

Super 8 150 / Front covere

Lot me start by admitting I'm a complete newbie, but I am totally hooked on my Super 8 150.  I got it at the end of last summer, and  I had a blast riding on the country roads in rural Washington state until the snow came.

The tail light went out at the end of the season so I decided to change out the headlights too.  I put a LED in the back, but out plain old headlights in the front because I didn't want to mess with bypassing the light box.

So now I'm trying to put it all back together, and I can't get the triangular front cover on.  The right side slides in just fine, with the hole for the screw right up next to the fairing.  But the other side, not so good.  The closest I can get the hole is 1/2 inch away.  I'm thinking that the cover is not going far enough up on the rubber thing that projects out in front of the handlebar stem.

And the cover sits a little lopsided, with a distinct tilt to the left. Apparently it has been doing this for some time because the left screw hole has been eroded on the left side and is stripped out.

I've tried it with the leg shields attached to the fairing and with them loose.  No luck.

Is there a way to get it to work or do I just need to get a new cover?
