Here's the latest pic of her......the dealership only had the rear boards in stock.  Front ones were 'custom made':-)))

Welcome the Spring/Summer!

I am too! Hi Keith,  I ended up adding the floor boards last summer.  I bought the sheets from Lowe's and I had a friend of mine cut them and used liquid glue.  He didn't totally fit them in but they work for me.  The sheets I purchased were kinda thick:-)

I picked up my baby from the local dealership eariler today out of winter storage.  Upgrades:

Passenger back rest, diamond plate rear foot pedals (front ones discontinued), new left mirror, new side grips, fluids, etc..and and a nice bath and detail.....running beautifully.  I had a nice hour ride home and then around the Mall and parks, it's great to be back on two wheels. I will be riding her every chance I get...to work, errands 8)

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable riding season!

Thanks for your responses - if Kymco discontinued the diamond plate floor pedals, I may out of luck.  I will check out that website though.

Thanks again!

I found out from my local Kymco dealer that they discontinued the diamond plate front panels.  A welder from of mine has moved out of state so I'll continue to look elsewhere for the floorboards.

Spring is in 24 hours!:-))

Grandvista 250 / Kymco Parts Online - are they for real?
« on: March 17, 2014, 08:48:07 PM »
Has anyone dealt with this vendor before?  I never got around to getting my front panel alumuimum floor boards.  My scooter is in storage at the dealer and they only had the rear in stock.  They informed me that Kymco discontinued the front flloor panels.  After asking around I found this vendor online and they said that they were going to order the parts from Kymco - interestingly, I only get a generic email response.  I do not get an email with a person's specific name, phone number, nothing and of course this raises a red flag for me.

Wanted to see if anyone else heard of them and/or have dealt with them before.  Almost time to bring the scooters out:-)))

Let me know if you get a live person.  I've emailed them and have not received a response.  I have also called and the phone just rings.  I will say that I have gotten used to the existing seat on my GV and the more I ride, it actually seems that when I'm stopped at a light, my feet are flat on the ground:-))  If I did change the seat, it would be for show....lol

Ok, good that she wasn't hurt and that happens, she will have to spend some time and get used to the scooter.  Same thing happened to me on my Bet & Win when I had it a few years back, the darn seat was a little high for me.  Hopefully this didn't ruin her confidence and she's willing to continue riding the Reflex:-)

Eeek! I hope your girlfriend wasn't hurt and that not too much damage to the Reflex.  What happened, was it too big for her?

HI

I ended up getting Mequiars Wash/Wax and I was very happy with the results.  My GV is nice and clean.  As I was cleaning it, I noticed that are a lot of scratch, scruff marks on the back of the mirrors, in areas below the seat on both sides.  I have to admit I'm rather anal when it comes to my things looking nice, neat and clean but I'm not happy with the scruff/stratches.

I took a pic this eariler today and right below the seat, this is an example of what I'm talking about.  I'm not sure if I should get the scooter painted, or get some touch-up paint.  Is there a stratch/scruff remover out there that I can use that will work?  What do you think?

I did the engine/gear oil change (as you can see from my little spots) had to put a little air in the front tire but other than that it's running great and I am really enjoying this scooter.  I had a 250 Bet & Win a few backs and other Chinese brands (Roketa, Keeway) but there is no comparison:-))

Also, ask why are they selling it?  Do have they another one, moving, etc.  The 2009 that I bought last week...that was the first thing I asked especially since it had a little over 3000 miles.  The owner and his wife were moving back to to their home country.  Again, I would want to know too why so cheap with that mileage.  Please keep us posted!

WW: I did a search on Amazon and came across something called 'LA's Awesome', all purpose cleaner.  The solution comes in a tall, plastic bottle, looks yellow-goldish.  Is this what you're referring to?
