Thanks for the quick reply. That makes sense.  A number of dealers must be using the Agility 50cc picture on their ads for the 125cc.   

I agree, it would be nice to have that seat.  There are aftermarket boxes with a seat built into them, for a premium.  But for cheap I could probably rig up a plastic box, cover a cushion, and attach it.

I hope you don't mind if I hitch a ride on your thread NewbieKymco.  I am also hunting and will buy an Agility 125 soon.  I thought with the cashback incentive going on it might be a good time to talk price on a 2013 model. 

Several dealers have the 2014 in stock for a little more than their 2013's.  But none of the ones available in my area have the flip-up seat.   I am a little confused about what I've read online. Does anyone know what changes have been made to the Agility 125 between the 2013 and 2014 model years?

Hei Stig!   You got that right.   It seems like a new 2013 model Agility is calling me.  I didn't find knobby tires for the Super 8 yet but they are readily available for the Agility. 

I haven't yet looked into a Sym - haven't seen any for sale locally and the nearest dealer is further away than I want to travel.  It does seem like a good option though.

Good points, thanks for your input Dolomite.  I am looking into the possibility of replacement tires.  So my thinking today is this: If I get the Agility, I'd drop $100 on set of tires, stash some money in case of a plastics crunch, and I'm still saving money vs a used Zuma. Also getting 2 yrs warranty vs none.  My prices are based on what's available to me locally right now.

That leaves one thing: fuel-injected Zuma vs old-tech Agility engine with a kickstarter. 

Which of the engines is simpler for the basic home mechanic to maintain and repair?

Hi folks! This is my first post.  I intend to buy my first scooter soon and I need some good advice.   Half of my riding will be on hard-packed dirt roads and the rest of the time on crappy paved roads. Max 45-50 mph on a nice road on a nice day.  Due to hilly terrain, 50cc is out.   I'm looking at the Agility 125, Super 8 150, and the Yamaha Zuma 125.   Price-wise the Agility looks great, but is it the right tool for the job?   Thanks for all the advice that's already been posted and I'm looking forward to what y'all have to say...  :D
