Agility 50 / Instaling malosi variator seems prety tricky
« on: May 20, 2011, 06:26:59 PM »
Hello guys , just got my transmission parts yesterday (belt and multivar 2000) and today I'ved tryed to "throw" them into scoot ... with the variator was an easy task no problem there... but with that spring ..man it's hard. First I couldn't open the nut from the clutch bell . I went to a near by "tire changer", on scoot just with the new belt and variator with 6 gr rollers to see how it works without spring. It was awful ... it took 3 km to reach 70 km/h, I could eat a pizza in that time :)). Anyway I loosed the nut, screwed it back with a key hoping it won't unloose on the way back home ... I got back home , opened the bell... then disaster strike... a 40mm nut... how the hell I can open that ? I gaved up this night, hoping I will dream at something usefull... I don't have a 40 pipe wrench , just a french key ... and nothing to hold the clutch...

Now I have to wait until monday when I will catch a scooter service open and ask/pay them to open that nut ... or maybe some of you have a good imagination or tricks and are willing to share them.

Thanks

Agility 50 / Starting at cold problems
« on: February 20, 2011, 01:18:09 PM »
Hello again guys/girls .
At the end of last year I had few problems with my scoot ... didn't start at all and thinking its the carb I got it down for cleaning ... I cleaned it but wasn't that the problem ... the problem were used piston rings and the carbon deposits from valves . I fixed those too but now I have an other problem that I can't figure out how to undone it ... When the engine is cold I start the engine , the engine runs perfect at idle but when I try to give gas the engine starts to "drown" ... and I have to accelerate very slowly until the revs get higher and higher , then the problem is gone ... until next cold start ... I will try to upload few videos to help you with making an ideea about what I am talking about .

Here is the start :

And after about 5 min it's all normal :

PS: Outside were -4*C .

Agility 50 / hmm ... it could be done ? liquid cooled engine :))
« on: June 18, 2010, 08:21:11 PM »
I was looking on to the sip site from zombie (great site man thanks it have even prices in my money mark and decent prices ) and something jump in my face ... Radiator MALOSSI "Ideal to rebuild your air cooled scooter to a water cooled system[...]" I wonder if you really could turn into a LC ...yes you can put the radiator ,water pump ,hoses  but important part is when you need to put that hose and water into the cylinder walls ,cuz there are special cylinder for water cooling for gy6 but only from 125 cc up I saw ,something like
but I didn't saw for 80 cc or 90 and I am wondering if you do those chanels for water at lathe .I wonder if there is enough material to cut from cuz AC cylinders have wings for cooling so I think its a little bit complicate ... and you need a special head as well to match with top of cylinder ... sounds hard to do it without this 2 ,cylinder and head...
I will put the links with parts avaible for LC system complete my knowledge about that subject if there is anymore :
The radiator and conection: http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/Products/71911500/Radiator+MALOSSI+complete+for.aspx
Water pomp :http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/Products/17050000/Water+pump+BOSCH+12V.aspx
Thermostat: http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/Products/17090000/Thermostat+mechanical.aspx
Hose: http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/Products/17060000/Water+hose+rimiator+l1m.aspx
And few other things gauges etc :http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/main/base/Results.aspx?d=%28sco%29&s=c6aad1e8e7504c22bc950638d453e80c&a=1&sort=0&uc=%289baede47d43e46f6be351116d55c299c%29

I just want to know if it can be done :)) sounds cool agility 50 LC :D , If I will find a treasure I will put those things on "to do" list :))

Look what I found guys :
http://www.centralscooters.co.uk/product_info.php?cPath=514_657_674_496&products_id=3210

It sounds like a very smart idea to me ,but I can't figure it out after you put one end of the hose in oil filter plug , the second end where do you fit ?

Agility 50 / something strange with gears
« on: May 04, 2010, 02:53:25 PM »
In manual it says that the ratio is 1:11.05 ,that means when rear wheel spins one time the clutch bell should spin 11.05 times ... but at mine I have to spin the bell 13.6or7 for a complete wheel spin ....  so that means I have an other gear ratio ? That should explain why most of chinese 4t scoot are faster than mine :(

Agility 50 / 100 cc kit waiting for it
« on: April 27, 2010, 11:34:41 AM »
I've just ordered a kit of 100 cc from http://magazin.smartmotor.ro/index.php/Piese-de-schimb-pentru-scutere/Kituri-de-tuning/45-Kit-tuning-100cc.html . I don't know if you understand something from there beacouse it's in roumanian . I've read opinions from thouse who already mounted the kit  on diferit 139QMB engine scoot and they are very happy with it . This kit makes 80cc kit's look like 50 cc :)) .The good part is that you can use the stock head and carb (but when I find some more money I will buy a 20-21 mm carburaetor) . Good help us to be well :D

I hope I manage to mount it without damage the engine ...

« on: April 22, 2010, 01:22:46 PM »
Today I've changed the original spark plug  (at 14150km) with an NGK C7HSA and i've start the engine ,run it for about 4 min and when I've taked it out I find oil on thread the top of the spark it wasn't wet ( but it was black I think is beacouse of airfilter ,I didn't change yet and it could run rich) or it can be from the oil ? so do you have oil on spark plug ?

Agility 50 / problem with fuel gauge
« on: April 05, 2010, 10:32:28 AM »
Now I realise that my fuel gauge it's not working proper . When I have the gas tank full it indicates well but when I have just 3.5 liters of gas left ,the gauge indicate me that I don't have fuel ... Is there a way to make it work ? I can get the litometru out from the gas tank ? or what I should do to work ?
