With the fall coming in like a lion, moving deer, falling leaves, covered pot holes, and wind, I like riding but am trying to keep my sences alert for all the above. So many dead deer creeps me and have seen many live ones moving and even crossing the road in front of me. The leafs, well a mess of them can make a curve much more nerve racking for slippery conditions. I like my trips though with my scooter and camera gear...my last encounter and pictured is a Bald Eagle. My tele-photo reaches out to almost 1,000 mm and the Eagle was approx. 1/2 mile away so with that lens and 16.1 MP I got a half decent shot.

I headed for one of the parks today and shot some birds. The Bald Eagle and the bird in the upper right corner (unidentified) which is bluish looking. Taking the scooter makes it easy to get around and on a nice day as today was..you can't beat it. The Eagle and the other bird were shot at approximately 1/2 mile away and blown up.

Stopped at a light, a bucket truck comes from my left turning to his left. Light turned, I happened to be first behind the truck. What I thought was large volume of exhaust fumes blowing out behind him, I quickly noted it was a white fine powder. Backing off quickly and slowing traffic behind me, I noted my leather jacket was covered with this unknown white stuff. Looking over the bike, it too was covered as well as a coating of it on my pull down face mask. I was about a block behind him and looking at him still blowing off an unknown substance. I turned off to my destination, parked and had to take
a towel out of my box and start wiping all this stuff off everywhere. Yes, I was pissed enough to go home, contact the police
department and was asked to contact the mayor, which I did. The mayor was very concerned about my report and was to follow up on all this. In looking up the trucking firm on the internet, I phoned them with a answering service and only left a phone number but never received a return..this was prior to calling the mayor. No end here to this story yet but I will put in here whatever the results will be. No, I couldn't see whether the bed was covered which is the law. Big Concern here too, what did I breath in???

I have approximately 1825 miles on my 500 RI and I filled up and went for a 102 mile ride today at all highway speeds 40-55 mph. When I got back I put in 2.264 gallon in and was shocked on the mileage.... This figured out to be 45.053003 mpg...that's terrible. I use 93 octane since new. I haven't looked at other mileages on here of the 500's and now I think I will. I always thought I may be getting 55 mpg or so but I am surely all wet and very disappointed.

I have great fun with my 500 and further, enjoy shooting "Photo's". A ways back, someone wrote, "now let's see some photo's". I used this particular background again being it is one of my favorite places to ride to and relax....under the bridge, next to boat launching, fishing and just watching the world go round. My camera goes with me ALL the time and I carry it in the padded Givi 46 Box which was worth purchasing and using.

I was able to download a manual for my 300..finding it with no problem. Is there a FREE down loadable 500 manual. If not of course, I will have to find one to be purchased if they are available. By the time one is down loaded, with ink and paper cost, I guess one still has some bucks involved! I do realize one thing though, in riding many miles beside another scooter of a different brand, their's sounded smooth running compared to the rough sounding Kymco.

Hope people don't mind.... A 200 Yager GT starts fine idles fine but when throttled up it bogs down or describing it as missing real bad. Getting it throttled to a higher rpm, it appears to run a bit smoother but.........?? Appreciate any input, I am normally on the Xciting 500 Forum...name is Syl... Thank You..this belongs to a friend of mine that said they checked everything and can't find the problem.
