Super 8 150 / How do I secure a Super 8 150 to a trailer?
« on: July 17, 2019, 03:07:00 PM »
Hey, all:
I've got a 2013 Super 8 150 that is due for its 1850 mile check-up and the nearest shop is about a 40 minute ride. I haven't been able to ride as often as I'd like lately due to being in the process of moving into a new home, and I think that combined with the heat has my Super 8 not wanting to start. I don't have the time to tinker with it right now, so since it was going to the shop anyway, I wanted to rent a Uhaul motorcycle trailer to transport it. However, I can't seem to find any info on where to run the tie down straps. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Ever since joining this forum, I've been unable to start a new thread from the Tapatalk app on Android. I am able to reply to threads from the app, just can't start a new one. Any way to fix this? Thanks!

Technical | How To / GPS/Phone mount on 2013 Super 8 150???
« on: January 13, 2019, 11:44:34 PM »
Is it possible to install a GPS/phone mount on a 2013 Super 8 150? I was hoping to be able to use something that can be easily removed when I don't need it, like the phone mount I use on my bicycle handlebars, but I don't see anywhere that it could go. If it needs to be more permanent, that's fine, as long as I'll be able to remove it cleanly if/when I decide to sell or trade it in one day. Any thoughts/suggestions welcomed. Also, if it is possible, what brand/model do you recommend? Thanks!

Eye Candy | Videos and Pics / First pic of our first scooters
« on: December 04, 2018, 08:35:29 PM »
After a week of owning our first scooters, and some delays due to an overwhelmed DMV, my wife and I were finally able to take our bikes out for their maiden voyages. Well, I purchased used, so my 2013 Super 8 150 has probably been around the block a few times. But, my wife's 2018 Like 200i is fresh off the line. This was our first time riding motorbikes on actual streets, with actual moving cars. We mainly stayed in our surrounding neighborhood just to build our comfort level, but man did we have a blast. Of course, as we get more comfortable, we will venture further and further out. There is one stretch of road that allowed us to get up to about 45-50 mph, and both scooters did this effortlessly. I could see this getting addicting.

Technical | How To / Parts for 2013 Kymco Super 8 150
« on: November 27, 2018, 11:59:26 PM »
To keep this simple, what I mainly need to know is whether 2011 Super 8 150 parts will fit on a 2013, or were there any major changes between those two models.

I just purchased a 2013 and noticed that the light assembly for the license plate is a little wonky. It works but is loose, and there are some cracks in it. I found a site that sells parts (www.kymcopartsmonster.com), but it lists them as being for a 2011. Will that work? Has anyone had experience with that site, or know of a better place to find replacement OEM parts?

Thanks!

P.S. Anyone know why I have to log in to Tapatalk on a computer to start a new thread? It won't let me do it from the app.  :/

Technical | How To / Toolkit suggestions
« on: November 23, 2018, 02:10:28 PM »
Hey, everyone! New here and new to scooters (and motorbikes, in general). My wife and I just took our MSF Basic Riders course and, while we eventually want to purchase motorcycles, we decided to start with scooters to build our confidence/skills of riding on the road. My wife purchased a 2018 LIKE 200i and I picked up a 2013 Super 8 150 with about 1100 miles on it. Our goal is mainly to just cruise around our town and have fun together. I am wondering what you all would recommend for a basic, grab-and-go toolkit to keep under the seat or to throw in a backpack. Basically, what tools and items might we find ourselves most in need of or wanting while out and about? Thanks for your input!
