For Sale / 2009 Kymco Super 8 150 Scooter for sale
« on: May 13, 2011, 10:20:55 PM »
BUY ME! ! !
$1800 cash only

Title in Hand.

For sale 2009 Kymco Super 8 150 bought new in 2010. I am the second owner, baby on the way so it's got to go. 1600 miles currently, being ridden when the sun is out. So may be more.

The good: Runs perfect, just changed the oil in engine and transmission with synthetic also changed air filter. Always garage kept. Tires, brakes, electrical, etc are perfect.

The bad: A few scratches from the previous owner who dropped the scooter. Only scratches on the right side (see picture link all scratches are marked with red arrows). A little bit of dried super glue on seat and luggage rack, also from the previous owner. This may come off, I just haven't tried. Rear turn signals have been replaced due to a cracked one from the dropping of the bike. Scratches really are minimal and don't detract much from the overall appearance.

Pictures of actual scooter are here:
Where there are duplicate pictures look for the red arrows which point out the scratches

Info and Specs can be found here: http://www.kymcousa.com/showroom/scooters/super8150/specifications.html Background:

This scooter is for sale locally and I will only accept cash. No test rides without Cash in hand and I would prefer those test riding to have a Helmet. If you are uncomfortable or new to a scooter I will be happy to take you on a test ride around the block.

The scoot is located near Wrigley Field Chicago.

Thanks for looking.

Oh yeah, also comes with a Magnetic bolt kit for the Drain bolts for engine and transmission and also a magnetic oil screen cover. You can install it the next time you change the oil.

Super 8 150 / transmission smoothness question.
« on: May 06, 2011, 01:10:32 AM »
So my question is how smooth is your acceleration? I am new to the whole twist and go scooter transmission. When I accelerate quickly the transmission seems to grab quite hard on take off. If I give it a little throttle to the point where the trans starts to grab it feels very rough. Thoughts? Get used to it its fine? Oh I'm on a super 8 150 with about 1600 miles. New to me.
