Many super 8s have a problem with the lights and charging system read the headlight thread on the super 8 section.   This problem needs to be addressed and FIXED before someone is killed!!!!   >:(

A RECALL is needed not just a memo to dealers.  It is clear Kymco knows there is a problem why cant someone with knowledge get on this forum and explain the problem and what is required to fix it.

Super 8 150 / Exhaust and Pod Filter.

Anyone made these mods to their S8......what exhaust did you use.....did you change the main and pilot or shim the needle or all of the above? What jet sizes did you use?   Were the mods worth the time and money? 

Any change to the exhaust has to be an improvement.....I had a guy ask me if that was an electric scooter. :o

People 150 / CDI and Light Controller.

Does a people 150 have a light controller like the super 8?  Will the CDI interchange between the two?

Super 8 150 / Gear whine?

My S8 has a noticeable gear whine from 20-32 mph is this normal?  I changed the gear oil small amount in there.... and it was dark.  Added 50cc over spec when I refilled no change still makes noise. I rode a people 150 and did not here this.

Any one running shinko 567 or 568 series tires? The stock tires on my scoot are way out of round and balance......they need to be replaced. The front took 5 oz of weight....and still shakes..it is splitting down the middle also.  1200 miles on em. Not good.

I don't want to spend 150 bucks for 2 scooter tires either......who sells tires cheap?

I made a luggage rack,  added a bicycle rack to it.  Last week I repainted it, changed oils, added a magnet to the filter screen. Next week new muffler...shocks....windshield....the farkling has begun.

Super 8 150 / Shocks...Rough Ride!!

My S8 rides like a hay wagon meaning rough.... :( Has anyone changed shocks or the fork springs to get a better softer ride?  I think the factory set up is for 2 200 lb riders......

How do the TaoTao, Vento or other Chinese 150s ride?  I would buy shocks or one of them if it was smoother.

Anyone know where to get a cheap voltage regulator for a super 8 150....it is the 5 pin PITA.  Or know how to convert it to the cheap standard gy6 4 pin regulator? 

I bought this thing  thinking it was a  normal gy6 and all the cheap parts would work....NOT.

Saw a very sweet scooter today the agility 50 with the flip up back seat that makes a backrest.  Great idea, I modified my Virago 250 several years ago to do the same thing.  A backrest is really nice on a long ride!!  Anyone have one?

New Kymco owner as of today, bought an 09 super 8 150 with 1100 miles on it. That is the good news.....question is there a link or thread on how to bypass the light controller, the lights go off and on at will not good for night time riding!

Are there any scooters made in china of equal or close quality to a Kymco or SYM?  Those that have owned both give your opinion.   From what I have heard and been reading on other forums there quality control has gotten alot better since 2011???   

If you were going to buy a scooter other than a Kymco what would it be?

I have only ridden 2 scooters both Kymcos a 50 2t and a people 150 both were impressive and of high quality.  :)
