Sold my GT300i because I was riding like a hooligan while grinning like an idiot! Thought that if I kept riding that way my luck would run out someday. So last summer I bought myself a new 2016 Vespa GTS 300 Super ABS/ASR and sold the Kymco. The Vespa is a great little bike, tons of cool factor and definitely a lot fun to ride. While it has less power it can top out at 80 MPH but doesn't get there as quickly as the GT300i does (Vespa is 278cc with 21HP). As a result I have slowed down a lot, keeps my wife happy, but I sure do miss the power/acceleration of the GT300i and having a do anything go anywhere scooter...

People GT 300i / a bit too fast...
« on: July 20, 2015, 11:28:29 PM »
Riding my GT300i, I am inclined to ride it fast! In the city and on the few occasions I am on the free way (usually an exit or two). I looked down at the speedometer the other day and it read 83 MPH! I think that is too fast on a scooter for me, mind you the Dr. Pully sliders I bought are still sitting on my desk and not installed on my scooter. I think it's time to sell my GT300i before my luck runs out. Looking at a slower scooter something like a Vespa GTS300 ABS/ASR...

Anyone have similar thoughts...

People GT 300i / HELP - LED light issue
« on: May 25, 2015, 08:52:09 PM »
I replaced my tail light with an LED bulb and added the flasher relay for LED bulbs. Coming home today the rear light was on but the brake light did not work, turned the scooter off and restarted it 10 minutes later and everything works again.
I am thinking a loose connection at the relay since the tail light worked but not the brake light. What are your thoughts?

People GT 300i / Will exhaust options for DT300 fit the GT300i?
« on: April 30, 2015, 07:08:55 PM »
So, I have found no exhaust options for my GT300i but there are some available for the Downtown 300. Will the DT300 exhaust fit on the GT300i?

I am thinking about adding Dr. Pulley sliders 14 grams. I have read the thread here and wonder if there is any down side or adverse effects on the engine? Honestly they sound too good to be true, smoothness, 2 seconds quicker and great acceleration. I suspect lower top speed, worse gas mileage and maybe premature engine wear. Any thoughts...
