Agility 50 / Re: How can i make my kymco Agilty 50 cc faster?

If its just a hobby and a project to see what these motors can do then great, but if you want a fast reliable scoot for commuting and regular trips it makes sense to go for the bigger motor with the bigger transmission etc.

Those kymco pinion shafts are very expensive. The chinese ones are very cheap and with a little modification work perfectly.

yeah wd40 works because the propellant is very flamable. But starting fluid (easy start) is way more powerful.

Agility 50 / chinese kickstart

I got a full kickstart for the chinese gy6 for not a lot of money but found it was slightly different on the kymco engine. The pinion shaft is shorter on the kymco. So i had to grind a few mm of it to make it work, and not use the washer behind it. It works perfectly now.

I always find that if you spray some easy start around the intake, if its leaking the revs will pick up..

Reliability is always an issue, if you upgrade only one part the rest of the engine wont cope for very long.

If your loosing speed the power must be going somewhere, ie. producing heat.

The thing is its a trade off between reliability and mpg when you mess with these engines. if you just derestrict them properly they stay reliable with only a slight increase in mpg. I see big bore kits for next to nothing on ebay but why bother. There a lot of hassle for not a lot of reward. If you really want more performance just put the bigger motor in it. Its got all the bigger bits in to be reliable.

Have you checked the carb diaphram?

Try with the air box off and exhuast to rule a blockage out.

I would test the fuses with a meter, somtimes they can blow at the end and you cant see it. A redneck fix for a fuse is to wrap it in aluminum foil (aluminium as we call it).

My ex girlfriend is from Santa Cruz, we have had all these chats before about fanny packs, and many other strange differences that you have brought to our language..  ;)

I would just strip it myself and leave all the bits in carb cleaner for a few hours or over night, while i was waiting drain the tank and replace the filter.

After a good inspection and a blast of compressed air put it all back together and use a fuel stabilser, you can get lots of makes mostly liquids and some tablets but they all do near enough the same thing.

The 250 dollars you save can buy a lot of this stuff.

Just something i have found out today, a deresticted agility runs an 82 jet with a stock box and exhuast. Yours should have an 80.
You will also need the variator bush if yours is not smooth and to do the mod on the cdi to get rid of the rev limiter.

If you search the forum you should find pictures and guides on all of this.
