General Discussion / Andy and Tosh's Excellent Adventure on P150
« on: October 10, 2010, 10:05:20 PM »
My Son and his Lady Friend, bought a 2010 People 150 in June and in September riding two up with saddle bags, suitcase, sleeping bags, and tent; they rode it from Central Minnesota to San Francisco, CA.  They averaged 50 mph to not beat the scooter.  They crossed the Rockys in Colorado at 10500 feet only able to do 35mph max.  They had to buy a one gallon gas can to cross Nevada driving down the Extraterrestrial Highway.  It took 7 days (2 days in Mitchell, SD due to heavy rains that actually flooded two small Minnesota town the following days.  He said southern Utah was absolutely beautiful and fun to ride.  Nevada was hot and boring.  Not sure if they have feelings in the butts yet, but are very happy to be in SF and were very pleased at how well their little scooter ran.

People 250 / Service Manual for S250
« on: October 01, 2010, 02:44:49 AM »
Is there a free download service manual for the S250?

How to do valve adjustment on the S250?  Easy or difficult?
Thanks

Scoot Magazine a US magazine, I have seen it in Barnes and Noble Book Store or go on line.  This is the only one I know of in the US.  www.justgottascoot.com is a good on-line site to read as well as 2 Stoke Buzz, and there are a couple more on-line sites you can find in justgottascoot.

Yager GT 200i / Re: Yager GT 200i
« on: September 07, 2010, 01:44:20 AM »
I have read a review or two on the Yager, but how is the scooter doing for the actual owners.  What is the top speed, how does it handle, and comfortable on longer rides?
I'm looking at getting either a 200 or 250cc scooter for my next scooter.
Thanks,
Dibber

The ground issue was a worn tail light wire.  Scooterville replaced the wiring and it was good to go.  Scooterville is a big dealer in Minnesota and they never ran into this issue before.  Now hope nothing else creeps up.

Well my son got his scooter back.  It was a ground problem.  Took a couple of days to find it, but after digging they found it and fixed it.  Warranty is a nice thing to have.

The scooter is still under warranty and Bob from Scooterville MN assured it is a warranty issue.
They just started to dig into it today and I will report what it was that caused all of the troubles.  Anyone in Minnesota interested in a Kymco, Genuine Buddy, Stella, Vespa, or Hyosung scooter/motorcycle should stop by Scooterville.  They are a great shop and tops in my book.

My son's People 150's headlight has a very dim glow, the instrument lights do not work, Tail light not working.  Blinkers work, Passing Light switch works, brake lights work.  Has anyone had this problem or have a fix.  Fuses also look good.
Thanks.

People 150 / Re: 1.8 Gallon tank...uhm, no it's not
« on: July 23, 2010, 06:24:54 PM »
Most 1 gal gas cans hold more then 1 gal.  I have two of them and they hold 1.4 gallons or so.  There needs to be room for expansion.  So it could be you had over a gallon of gas in the can if you filled it to the top.  If not you might want to check with Kymco or your deal, because my Son has put in over a gallon in his, I know because Dad (Me) paid for the gas.
