it was not easy but it works i think im running a 92 jet and I removed the air box and replaced with cone filter. to wordslinger what carb would you suggest? have read enough of your posts to get you have been through this a few times. I was thinking about just a 24mm intake with the auto choke I think that it is made for a 125? I would like to do both exhause and carb at the same time which should not be an issue in 3 weeks. also does anyone have a good recomendation on a resonable priced exhaust that will work well with the larger carb and the 80cc kit?  thanks alot guys if it wasnt for yall i would still be walkin....

for blue it allows me to easily keep up with traffic, "the main reason for the upgrade". after derestricting i still was getting run off the road. not anymore. so for me it was Well worth it. I do agree that it's not something to do without thinking of the problems that it can cause.

43-44 in good weather on the flat actual, NOT speedo, seems like it is bogged down though. From the sound and feel I figured an exhaust upgrade would let it breath enough. So sounds like exhaust first then.

I have a Agility 50 "deresticted" and it has a "50mm" or 81cc kit on it am wondering what kind of a difference upgrading the exhaust would make. Also was thinking about a 24mm carb. let me know what y'all think. If I only were to do one what should be?
Thanks,
Brian.

Hey blue,
I have had problems with this myself. What exactly is it doing? I had an isue with the gear that comes into contact with the drive face it should have splines that cause it to come forward when rotated with half moon gear but if there are and chips or other damage to these teath then it will slip and not work properly. I would check this first.

Agility 50 / For love of the scoot
« on: September 22, 2011, 03:38:26 AM »
I have ran into issues AGAIN. Had a vibration issue that had me stumpped took it to the shop. After trying to replace the variator with no success They asked if I wanted to look further, I agreed. After taking the top of the motor off and splitting the case to examin te crank. Sure enough the bearings were spun, but also that in doing sothey enlarged where the bearrings from the new crank will go. So I get to replace left and rights side crank case and the crank itself along with what will be a good bit of labor. I feel that if I was in the same situation of this with a car for price of repare vs value of vehicle I would not have done it. I now am trying to figure out there I will draw the line in the future. What would you have done? this repare is looking around 450US I think "due to it being done by shop" on top of the other costs that I dont want to add up I am quite certain that I can add up all of the repairs to over the price of a new scoot from the dealer.. I think this will be the last straw.
thanks for the read.
PS I would have bought a new scoot if I could get on at the cost of msrp but I cant get withing a grand of it "greedy bastards here in indy"

also make sure that the kick start main gear spring is not bad and allowing it is make contact. This was happening to me. I also noticed the vibration rattling and sometimes when I hit a bump it made a tick noise. Good luck.

Blue, I think I have everything, I have the gear clip "just in case te new one dosent work" that goes outside the washer, on the outside of the case on the shaft and I saves the plastic circle thing that was on the inside besides that I think I am replaceing everything else but the gear that comes out and makes contact with the flywheel itself.

Agility 50 / Has anyone had to work on their kick start mechanism??
« on: August 30, 2011, 02:54:14 AM »
I went to start the scoot after an oil change today and the kick lever just spun. The splines were striped on the kick start shaft, "the one comeing out of the half moon looking gear and sticks out of the cvt" I found one online and ordered it and another kick lever. It should be in friday. I also ordered the spring that connects to it aswell along with the gear clip due to the parts being quite worn. I am wondering if there is a trick to getting everything back togeather properly since the manual just states that it should be checked and greaced with no other detail then that. I tried to reasymble, but it didnt seem to go back togeather right I could not figure out the spring, I'm hopong that it is due to the part being worn. Any help would be greatly appretiated. Thanks so the read guys.

Dude the site that you are thinking about ordering parts from is pretty overpriced. I go through monsterscooterparts.com they are much more resonable.

Agility 50 / Re: belt too long?!?!!?

Woodcutter my problems were worst than the I couldnt stop without the scoot shaking the fillings out of my teeth and the belt was audibally making contact, when you hit a bump I could hear and feel it bind. Also the rpm's were higher felt like i put in 2 gram ligthter rollers, so i couldnt top it out without feelig like i was going to blow the motor. Bando was no good for me. deffinatly bad part.

Thanks guys still cant figure what went so wrong with that other belt.
