Hi Mike,  if you're confident and no plans to sell the scooter on - where a modified screen could be a haggling point - then go for it.  I take it you've considered and discounted an aftermarket sports screen?

Haven't been able to find any to fit my new People!

I need to make a decision. My '23 People S 150i came with a very tall windscreen When I ride it's like looking through a window. I've put about 1000 miles on the scooter and am really enjoying it. I've been watching lots and lots of You Tube videos about scooter windscreens. The thing I'm concerned about is rain. I haven't been caught in any rain yet, but at some point, I will. There is no way I can see over or around my windscreen if it was raining very hard. This could present a serious problem. The videos suggest the top of the windscreen should be several inches below your sight line. This way you could see over a rain covered windscreen if necessary. There are also many videos showing how to cut down your windscreen to a recommended height. It looks like a DIY project I could handle, and I have all the necessary tools to accomplish it. What are your thoughts on this question? Should I do it?

Look into a Cyclopedia manual.           https://www.cyclepedia.com/

See if they sell a Cyclopedia for that model. I have bought them for my last 2 scooters, and they were a great help. They have full wiring diagrams.

Try this site. I've gotten GPS mounts for both my "21 X-Town GTI 300, and my new '23 People S 150i ABS from them.

Finally done! My Dr. Pulley 11 1/2gm sliders came in and are now installed. Seat of my pants 0-50 acceleration has definitely improved. I didn't go all out for top speed but did hit 64 on the factory speedo. Scooter now peaks at 8500rpm, right at maximum torque point. Don't know about mileage, but not a major concern of mine. Overall, I'm very happy with the swap.
Thie project is definitely a DIY one. I think the results are well worth the time and investment. I recommend taking variator apart first, weighing stock components to determine factory weight. Then you can order the weight you want for your desired results. I wanted better acceleration with no significant top end loss. I ended going 1 1/2gr lighter weight and changed from rollers to sliders. Mission accomplished!

Finally finished! After all the problems with an incorrect postage meter and parts availability, my project is finally done. I ended up replacing the stock 13gr rollers in my People S 150 with 11 1/2 gr Dr Pulley sliders. Seat of the pants acceleration 0-50 feels greatly improved. Didn't test for top end but got to 64 on factory speedometer. Scooter maxes out at 8500 rpm right at the peak power rating. Very happy with the results!

I want to thank all the other members who gave advice and recommendations to me along the way. Hopefully I can do the same for other members.

I just got my 11.5 Dr Pulley sliders from Scooterparts .com. The packaging looks genuine, and they are stamped Dr Pulley. The only thing I'm concerned about is the color. In all the You Tube videos they are a tan color. Mine are black. Do the Dr Pulley's also come in black?

I think they are 13.5 grams from description here https://www.bike-parts-kymco.uk/kymco-motorcycle/150-SCOOTER/PEOPLE/PEOPLE_S_150i_ABS_EURO_4/VARIATOR--CLUTCH/228/6/0/228

I tried 12 and 13's sliders on my 2022 and ended up mixing them for 12.5. I think acceleration is better and smoother than stock, but the gas mileage has gone down a bit and i lost a 1 mph on top end. I am leaning toward putting the original rollers back in next time I go back in there.

After taking my People S 150i apart, I discovered 13gr rollers in my variator. I wanted 12gr Dr Pulley sliders, but they are back ordered. I ordered 11.5 sliders instead. Hopefully they won't reduce my top end too much.

Found a site on Amazon. Unfortunately, the 12gr sliders I wanted are on back order. I ordered 11.5gr. I'm going from 13gr rollers to 11.5gr sliders. Hope it doesn't impact my top end too much.

I need another source for Dr Pulley sliders. I got a E mail from Buggy Parts NW. They are on vacation until the 24th. My sliders won't ship until the 25th and arrive until the end of the month. My scooter is in my garage all apart. I don't want to put it back together with the stock rollers, and I don't want to wait another 3 weeks for parts. Does anyone know another reliable source for Dr Pulley sliders?

I took my scooter apart and measured the rollers at 10gr. I ordered 9gr Dr Pulley sliders and received them today. I measured them and got a 5gr reading. I then realized my scale was off and bought a new one. Now the sliders measured 9gr, but when I checked the stock rollers, they were 13gr, not 10gr. I just ordered 12gr Dr Pulleys to install. Hopefully they will give me the performance I want.

What do all 6 of your new sliders weigh as a group?
If you get 30gr....phone buggyparts.

Good news and bad news. I bought a new scale, and the sliders are 9gram. Unfortunately, on the new scale the old factory rollers are 13gr not 10. I'm not going to go 4gr lighter, so I ordered 12gr sliders. Anybody need a set of 18 x 14 9gr dr. Pulleys?

My new sliders came in today from Buggy Parts NW, but I have a problem. All the paperwork and packaging say they are 9GR (Which I ordered). However, when I checked them on my postal scale, they are reading 5. I double checked the factory rollers, and they are reading 10. What do I do?
