Not a lot of stop and go. Mileage has been about that since i first owned it. My best has been 62mpg and worst 42mpg. had mid 50's for a while as I got used to it and now 50mpg is the norm. I'm sure weight of the driver and style of driving has a bit to do with it.

And, yes first belt replacement currently at 18,000 miles. For the last 500 or so I think it's been deteriorating....felt different starting off the line; finally ripped to shreds yesterday.

Hi,
I'm new here. Was doing some maintenance on my scoot and was looking around so I decided to sign on.
I have a 2006 GV 250; bought in 2008 with 1200 miles on it.
Currently, I have approx 18,100.
I was commuting mostly to work 10 miles each way; new job has increased that to 38 miles each way; almost 80/day 1500/month.
I get 50mpg.

I had a battery charging issue and it turned out to be a bad stator. Replaced that and today my drive belt broke, so am looking to replace that and the roller weights while I am at it.

Other than that no real issues.
Had an intermittent in the mirrors. They close and open for no apparent reason. I took the fuse out because I didn't fold them in anyway, so problem solved.

I'm on my 3rd or 4th battery; don't remember; 3rd front tire and 4th rear tire. Am running Michelins currently but I like the Heidenau K58 the best...very grippy. first time I rode with them, I thought the service shop messed something up because off the grip; the steering felt very tight. I will go back to them when net needed.
And on my 3rd set of rear break pads and 2nd set of fronts.

I change the oil every 750 miles or so an the gear oil every other oil change (1500miles)

That's my story (and I'm stickin' to it)

Also, I may look like a clown doing so, but I wear a Hi-Vis jump suit when I commute...I want to be seen and come home from my ride
