Not a single person here admitting to making purse, camera or cell phone snatches from their scooter?
Hmmm...

Stig

So those scooter riders are literate enough to post? Who knew?

Can’t compete with that John, I’m in awe. As lahawk says, you’re an inspiration. Reminds me of an old t-shirt slogan:
“You don’t give up motorcycling because you get old. You get old because you give up motorcycling!”

Here in Southern California it sometimes drops to as low as 50 degrees in the winter and maybe rains four or five times. I actually need my jacket liner and gloves during this bitter cold weather we have for a couple months.

OK Stuo, rub it in why dontcha? [emoji23]

Here in the UK [emoji636] I manage to ride my scooter through the winter, although the length of the rides does shorten noticeably [emoji3063]

Being visible from the rear in the dark is a big thing with me.
Hence the eye-watering LED Admore light bar on my Liberty, and the LED'd Bestem top case on my LIKE200ILX.
Every time I ride my scooter, at least half of each ride is in the dark. Currently I'm setting off fully 2 hours before sunrise.

If you’re riding so much in the dark then it’s a wise move Stig. I tend to do most of my riding during daylight hours these days and prefer to rely on defensive riding. That said, I have been browsing some winter jackets with fluro and reflective panels...

For added storage, I am getting a Givi Point e33 with bracket from a co-worker this weekend. He got it along with a bunch of other stuff when he bought a KLR 650, but has no use of it.

I bought a Givi Blade top box for mine which looks like it grew there and makes the XT so much more versatile as day to day transport. Enjoy!

Thanks for the photos!

Seems like a good scooter - $1500 less than the last Honda 300 in this country.
My late brother drove a Porsche Boxster …..with few cup holders - kinda like your 300 scooter with a difficult cell phone box.
Americans.... :)

Edge of NuL for me. I've not got anything on the road at the moment but I'm saving for another CB250 or something, so would be good to grab a ride when that happens! :)
Yeah I’m good with that Viper, just let me know.

Just back off a holiday to Sardinia where I wished I'd had my XT300 along, but that's another story.  Came back with the firm resolve to add earplugs to the travel kit.  Suffered a lot from boozed up revellers in a neighbouring apartment who were hard to sleep through.  Next time the plugs will be packed!

We're not far apart in reality (Staffs/Cheshire border for me) but worlds apart in terms of public transport ^.^
We must be close buddy as I’m right on the border between Crewe & N-u-L. Maybe a meet up is in order one dry day?

At times at work I was guilty of putting the earphones in!  I blame open plan offices.

My hearing aids are fairly effective ear plugs.  I just turn them off while riding.

Absolutely agree Stig. I’ve always worn them and working with Police riders who’ve suffered hearing loss only served to convince me that it’s a wise precaution.

I have a spare in my pocket at all times.  Walking sucks.

Had never thought about it. Until now....
