I knew benelux has that 25kph limit but now I see it's dk also. here in serbia 50cc moped can be driven at the age of 14(two pages exam) and 125cc up to 11 kw at the age of 16(written and practical exam).
ag's sold here is doing about 45mph-50mph de-restricted(jet, cdi, vario) but I did a little bit more and have some extra mph, so, in my mind 18mph is a way too slow. even 30 is slow wich I get on the most hills and have vehicles lined behind me, but drivers is getting more and more tolerant cos scootering is in expansion here. And I guess one nice smiley sticker under the licence plate makes things even better  ;D

The 2010 CDI IS RESTRICTED!
My scooter did 18 mph with the 2010 cdi in it, and with malossi multivar. Then i put my cutted 2008 cdi in, and now it goes much better, past 30 mph, but i dont know how much, as my speedometer is stuck at 18 mph. :S
even comletely restricted ag 50 needs to go well over 18mph. you say your speedo is stuck at 18mph and I had the same problem when scoot was new. It was factory foult and solved by dealer at no charge. just re-route speedo cable at the right around forks because it's tight and pressing tacho needle against tacho.

it's winter here and I switched to motul scooter power 5W-40 full synthetic and it makes a difference. starts up right away, less time to warm up, easier revving and better mpg. changed at max 1.500 km. for me full synthetic oil in completely runned in engine is not an overkill. just made it run better

I bought my ag in the end of august 2010. It's manufactured in june 2010. and it was restricted cdi inside.
for central/southern europe market though if it makes any difference

some time ago I had idea to remove the plug from the tube and put some duct tape over the small breather hole in the air box hoping to save engine from dirty combustion products formed in the crankcase.
Result was that engine started to overheat! Engine was just cutting off, unable to start for 5-10 minutes(second overheating protection).
Than I removed duct tape and returned plug to the tube wich caused engine not to overheat but I noticed some oil consumption.
So, in my case, kymco overheat protection proved to be efficient.
I suggest leaving air-box and crankcase breather as it is because it,s engineered to work that way.
Just my oppinion  ;D

(woodcutter) will i find much in the drain tube what is the purpose of it i have not checked or noticed a drain tube, i have done nearly 2000km on my agility now will i find much in there and is it mainly winter it needs draining.....
well kisbee, I found some mixture of water and oil in the drain tube and it is mainly in fall/winter. it formes whitish gunk and I think it,s    a moisture formed in cylinder which evaportes through breather tube and collected in clear tube beneath air box.
I was reading it,s also a kymco,s overheating protection. In warm weather, engine have tendency to overheat and oil is starting to evaporate and in form of mist going through crankcase breather into the air box and sucked in air/petrol mixture cooling and giving extra librication/protectio to the cylinder. heavier residue is collected at the end of the tube.
Generally I find a lot of residue liquid in this tube when I drive in wet weather and kymco user manual says more frequent service in wet climate and I think it is it.
Anyone have other oppinion?  ;D

when you pull the spark plug cap off from the plug itself, make sure not to twist it left or right but just pull it straight off.
I guess there is some copper-like part left on the spark plug tip with some treads on it. You can screw it back into the cap but be carefull because there is a spring in the cap and it should be inside pressing this small part back.
It happened to me two or three times , and I tighten this part inside the cap when I clean my spark plug+ I add some conductive grease for better contact. Works good without problems.

Last night I was driving home and there was heavy rain and very cold and scooter started right away and drove very well.
service and adjust your carb, spark plug, fuel/air filter and change oil regulary and you'll have no problem in the wet weather.
and drain tube beneath the air box every two or three days

scoot is running great and I did regular maintenance(spark plugs, oil change, belts, rollers, valve adjustment....)
Had some problems with the carb but I learned to service and adjust. Mainly clogged main and idle jet and some tunning.
Still have power and nothing seems to going wrong, just bad roads and potholes made it not to be as tight as it was new.
Personally, I would expect as more as another 30.000km on ag  ;D

I had no problems with electrics on my agility and it's almost on 30.000 km and I'm in southern europe with continental climate, driven all year except when it's ice on the roads.
I just do regular inspection and maintenance(cleaning battery terminals+some grease, it's original propperly formed battery and some WD40 on contacts and handlebar switches).
A guy in service told me ignition/alternator coils behind cooling fan have tendency to malfunction because of dirt and NaCl that's poured on the road in winter and suggested cleaning it with clean water while engine is on idle. I did so and have no problem starting my ag even on -5 degrees celsius. It starts at first starter press when cold just have problem starting it warm when I have to twist throttle a little bit. Running on ngk cr7hix though and plug reading showed healthy tan coloured electrode.

low quality rubber. that's what happened to vicma/dynaflex belt I bought for 15 usd.
I'm using 40 usd bando belt now and have no problems since.

« on: October 25, 2011, 01:01:55 AM »
yep, I said longer belt! I got malossi mulivar kit with white torque spring and 748mm long belt. I wrote a marker line on my stock variator with a new bando 729mm long belt and it left about 4mm of marker at the top of variator movable half. On the multivar and 748mm belt there were no marker left! And it's a bit larger diameter than stock.Just like fixed front pulley. And 748 was going at the top of it, but not touching starter bendix. That gave me much more speed but I needed to use heavier rollers to achieve it.I hit it downhill to get to it but uphill was very poor.
If you're claiming I'm not right and lying, I would like to know what you did to modify your scooter and have you tryed something of this I wrote or it's just a theory?

And for big bore kit, I haven't tryed any and defects you said some people experienced could be low quality kit or inpropper installation!?

I'm keeping my stock cylinder and give my scoot good maintenance and it's running fine and I guess some more top speed ;D

baddi, I don't like to post information before I'm sure it isn't true.
my engine is running fine at 9.000rpm's and gy6 valves start to 'flow' somewhere at 12.000 - 13.000 rpm's
I got downhill 55mph top speed(gps verified, needle off the tacho scale) and that's it. but downhill !!
