Provoscooter.com is a great site for jets too.
Almost as good of a selection of Keihin jets as jetsrus and cheaper shipping to the US.

Did you drill the holes in your 4T exhaust?
I was thinking that was a nice cheap upgrade, but also a scary one.
If you did drill the holes, what performance gain did you experience?

I got my K&N from tapai scooter assasins along with my #88main jet.
do a google search, prices are good, shipping is included, but takes about 2 weeks to get your items.

Also just realized the reason Im so slow is probably because of the larger 16" wheels I have on my scoot.

Honestly I think its closer to an Agility 50cc than a People 50cc
Wish I would have went with the 2 stroke Super 9, seems like that would have been much quicker.

Main jet should be here on Friday so hopefully Im just running rich.
Im back looking at variators again... the malossi sounds nice but seems difficult to obtain here in the USA.
Might be stuck with the polini....
I just cant see doing the no-name ebay one for $40 when I can get a Polini for $85

Im just curious where you are at now?  How fast will your scoot go?
It appears you have spent a ton of money and Want to know how close to 50mph your getting
If your not there, then I know its in the gearing and I can help join your search for the gearing to make this gazelle faster!

#90 is way too big for your main jet unless you have a performance exhaust....
You just cant get enough air in, even if you run free flow air filter.

Doesnt sound any worse than changing out a main jet.
Just need to get a set of feeler gages, or perhaps Ill just grab some shim from work.

Im starting to think that the 40+MPH is just a fairytale on these 50cc Kymco's.

I would suggest the #85 jet though... I have an #88 in mine right now and its a bit rich.

Im in the same boat though, full restriction, free flow air, iridum plug.... yada yada yada and am lucky to get 37mph

Just buy a 150cc.... thats the only solid answer.

Those are just IDLE mixture screws, they have nothing to do with the amount of air/fuel that is going into the carb when you are riding the throttle
You are going to need a new main jet.

Wow... that is one heck of a nice bike.
However arent you a bit disappointed with a top speed under 90km/hr after all those costly upgrades?
I have the same bike and was thinking aobut doing a new exhaust & malossi variator but doesnt seem worth it now.

How labor intensive is checking the valve gaps?
How many hours did you spend doing that, and are any special tools needed?

I dont know jack about the valve gaps... that may be a little too much for my knowledge.
I pulled the plug today and it does look a little rich, again I would post pictures but this site wont allow.

I found what a believe to be a Keihin #85 main jet that will fit my scooter on provoscooters.com
I ordered it on Friday so hopefully I will be replacing that next week and see if that helps first.

Thinking about pulling the exhaust, although most everything I read on here says there is no restriction there and dont mess with it if you dont have to.

I feel like Im talking to myself here, but someone may read this and get some info from it.

I replaced my stock 6g rollers (actually 6.5 because it was 39g for 6) with 5g sliders

Take off seems better, I can actually feel it pushing me back around 15-20mph but 35 is all I can get... .if I tuck below the windshield I can get 37.

Still debating on the variator, but I have a feeling it will just be a waste of money.  Found a generic? Ruima for $69 and a main jet on provscooter.com
Or I can get a Polini variator for $85.00 from enviromoto

Actually I just drained my gas tank and took off the inlet and outlet on the carb (flex hoses) then I was able to pick up the carb with throttle cable still attached flip it over and take the bowl off, replaced my main jet, put the bowl back on and flipped it back over..
A little gas spilled out, but thats about it.
