Are there any scooters made in china of equal or close quality to a Kymco or SYM?  Those that have owned both give your opinion.   From what I have heard and been reading on other forums there quality control has gotten alot better since 2011???   

If you were going to buy a scooter other than a Kymco what would it be?

I have only ridden 2 scooters both Kymcos a 50 2t and a people 150 both were impressive and of high quality.  :)

I rode a people 50 yesterday, the owner said it was stock.....anyway it got up to 50 mph pretty quick I did not think a stock 50 would do that. It was a 2 stroke...are they that much faster than the 4 strokers? Are the speedos any where close to being accurate, most motorcycles are off about 10% so I figured this was also, even 45 seems fast for a stock 50!

Why don't you go to fleebay and search motorcycle shocks something like a Vulcan 500 or other 500-750 almost any could be made to fit, a bike shock would have a stiffer spring. The downside to doing this is all that extra weight you might add could stress the frame and cause it to bend or crack.  A single shock puts a lot of stress on the frame......I know I bent mine.  :o

Hello all, does any one know if a 2003 people 50 2t will run without a battery?  How about a 2009 super 8 150? 

Im looking at buying one of these both have a few problems... ;)
