Technical | How To / Re: Cracked plastic- HELP!
« on: March 30, 2010, 11:03:28 PM »
If you pull some tape over the crack to hold it together drip a tiny bit of crazy glue in the other side. the tape will hold it while its sets. Then just peel the tape off..the trick is to not stick the tape to the panel just stick the crack.

Yes they have nice little ones for motorcycle and scooter batteries. They sell them on ebay very cheaply you are better going for an automatic trickle charger then you can leave it hooked up all winter or when your not using it and it will save your battery.

Agility 50 / Re: how do you clean
« on: March 30, 2010, 10:44:11 PM »
If its a paper element filter you just blow it out with compressed air, if its a sponge type filter wash it in some petrol and let it dry off, then thin  a bit of 2 stroke or engine oil down with petrol and dip the filter in it squeeze it a little bit to get rid of the exess and leave to dry.

This will condition the filter after cleaning and the oil residue is better at trapping the dust in the air stopping it getting into the engine than just the dry sponge alone.

..it connects to nothing, that i do know...

..the tube on the cvt cover slides down between the plastic and the frame...it attaches to nothing...

Does it flap about or have some kind of fastening to the frame or under the foot board?

You really need the firing end to be from light tan to biscuit brown...

Also, those computer give additional info like; average speed, max. speed, trip distance, stop watch, clock.  Some will also do temp and elevation!  Those are all pieces of additional info my stock speedo doesn't give!  All for between $25 & $50 depending how much info you want!  The Cateye Velo 5 computer will do all of the above minus temp and elevation for $25!

Thats great if its accurate, maybe it would need checking with a sat nav... :P

You dont need tape you can use a marker pen or tippex...you can borrow a sat nav for ten minutes from someone. You dont need to buy anything or make brackets or run cables or anything.

Using too speedos is like a man with 2 watches he never knows the real time. Just calibrate your own speedo.

I just got a new cdi already derestricted from ebay, you need to look for the GY6 DC CDI. Thats the one you need.

When you get a minute can you let me know where those pipes run to on your scooter.

If you look at a battery it will have a rating in AMP HOURS, so say you have a battery that is 4 amp hr. the correct way to charge this is to divide the amp hours by twelve, this will give you the maximum rating you should ever charge the battery with.

So your 4 amp hour battery should never be charged with more than 0.330 amps (330 mAh) or you could damage the battery permanently.

Never use a car charger even on trickle as there way too powerful, most trickle settings are over 2 amps.

To clear up your confusion let's go back to your original question . The derestricted buddy 50 will be be 5 to 10 mph faster at top speed than the derestricted agility 50 , and it will reach top speed much quicker . Now if you want to be confused consider this . The derestricted Kymco people 50 (msrp $1999.99 ) is faster than both aforementioned scooters .

The people 50 might be faster but it looks like a girls bike.. ;D
