A huge number of Piaggio Libertys go to various postal services in mainland Europe, so I suspect that's an incentive for Piaggio to keep them easy to work on :)

Hi Everyone,

I've got a Like 125, 2012, black in colour, that I'm taking apart slowly.

If there's anything in particular you want or need, send me a PM. If it's not needed for my project, I'll quote!

Thanks :)

Hi! People have been sucessful in installing Vespa mirrors with longer stems instead, or there's quite a few mirror extenders available on Aliexpress.com that would do the trick if you'd rather keep the stock units :)

Back from the dealer and they agreed the level of vibration is unacceptable.  On BOTH new bikes!  So, after much (strong) insistence I will be getting new tires all around, and the 600 mile services will be done for free.  Seems fair enough to me...

It does seem reasonable, but also seems that they're shooting in the dark with what could be causing the vibration

**EDIT** Lost the know-how to do Youtube embeds again, so back to URLs for now.

Bit more work ongoing as the bike was put back together at the weekend. The timeline's getting a bit unclear! Hopefully I can make more progress at the weekend.

The wheel bearings at the front are 6201s. We have a quick look at the oil seal too here.

Bearings

Getting the original exhaust gasket out was an absolute sod. I'm worried I may have duffed up the outlet port a little chiselling it out, but the new gasket seems to have sealed OK.

Gasket

These are the LED strips featured in the video!

They come with a foam mounting pad and two screws. I think the video will, again, probably make more sense.

DRLS

New £6.50 sliders are here. I wanted to work out what weight I wanted before going for the £30 Dr. Pulleys, as I can't afford to get it wrong. I'll pop these bad boys and a new belt at the weekend!

Starting to make progress now. In the next few days I'm hoping the luggage situation will start to come together. I also need to edit up a video on the hand guards...

Eye Candy | Videos and Pics / Derbyshire Commute
« on: May 09, 2018, 06:47:47 PM »
Nice commute home from work tonight across the bottom of the Peak District in the UK; Croxton Abbey and rapeseed fields looking beautiful.

The Abbey dates from the 1200s and the ruins are so quiet and beautiful.

I need to get a decent camera... but today is the first day I've really enjoyed the 52 mile ride each way.

I think the original pads might be the problem. Mine are squeaking like hell too. I'm going to try and get them off (pins might be seized, though) and try some softer ones, and I'll report back.

Hi Cristian!

It is a standard kick start shaft for 139QMB engine.

Search "139QMB kick start" on eBay and you will find.

Here is one link from a UK seller;

The length of the shaft is sometimes different, I would check if you can :)

Forgot to mention - if you're reading this in the EU - light modulators are totally illegal here :P

Any luck with the problems being resolved?

I didn't chip in earlier but I do recall that it's not impossible to have a rear wheel that's casted incorrectly - maybe not perfectly round.

I hope things are working out for you :(

It was a switch. Loose contacts. Now works fine.

Thank you for help :D

I doubt it too on a 150, but it's always worth asking. Common on the 50cc stuff
