I think it's normal to be like that and the rings (segments ) should make the piston slide nice and easy in the cylinder.

Agility 50 / oil on spark plug :-s
« on: April 22, 2010, 01:22:46 PM »
Today I've changed the original spark plug  (at 14150km) with an NGK C7HSA and i've start the engine ,run it for about 4 min and when I've taked it out I find oil on thread the top of the spark it wasn't wet ( but it was black I think is beacouse of airfilter ,I didn't change yet and it could run rich) or it can be from the oil ? so do you have oil on spark plug ?

..as a general rule, you don't want to grease anything in the cvt....

..maybe just a tiny bit in the clutch bearings, if you remove it...

..and just a little bit on the kick-start mechanism...

I saw on a clip on youtube a mecanic who grease with I don't know what the ramps where you put rollers .... but I don't know exactly what he used.

You should be able to get away with sanding down the ramps with some progressively finer sandpaper.  I'd say start at 100 grid and work your way up to 220.  Replace the rollers and should be good as new!

I will sand before puting the new rollers .It's nothing wrong if I go to deep ?

the plastic pieces are in perfect shape (it's something wrong if i greese them when I put on variator ?) I want to change the variator beacouse i found some grooves where the rollers reached metal ... and the originial variator it's cheap around 15$ ... I don't have money for a multivar 2000 unfortunately
