General Discussion / Led vs halogen headlight

Promised this a week ago or so and finally got around to snapping pics.  I do wish it would’ve been a little darker out but have to get up at 3:30 am for work, so this will have to do for now.   Vespa sprint halogen vs Kymco Like 150i headlight/running light and beam pattern.  Not the best pics and I didn’t realize until we put them away the Vespa was aimed right at the camera and my Like was off to the side a bit.

Actually called the Genuine Buddy here in the states, but tomato/tomatoe.  I would just run it in like initial break in.  Think it’s first 300 miles no more then 1/2 throttle then 300-600 no more then 3/4 throttle.

Only one I can think of that holds value fairly decent is Vespas.  But maybe only slightly better then any of the other big 4.

General Discussion / Hit a bee with my knee at 30 mph today on the 150i

Needless to say it stung me right away.  Damn that smarts.  And for some funny reason Tapatalk won’t let me load the pic of my knee all swollen from the sting, must think I am trying to load some porn or something....(guess it almost could look like a women’s breast and nipple, had no idea it filtered like that)

I will take a pic later tonight of the real thing but it’s shaped like an elongated upside down trapezoid. Kind of cool.  The light is concentrated for the most point to this trapezoid shape but there’s bleed through everywhere then the running lights light up an area in front on the ground. When you hit the brights the top of the trapezoid doesn’t change it’s the bottom that lights up everywhere.  Guess it’s real similar to a car hid projector headlight, since it’s an LED projector headlight on this.  Really cool.

. It’s otherworldly bright....running lights are almost like auxiliary lights for potholes bright.   I will take a pic tomorrow next to my girlfriends Vespa sprint halogen light to show the difference

Perception means a lot, I've noticed.

When I had Natasha, she was a (comparatively) little-bitty scooter compared to Diana. Once I traded, I noticed a distinct difference in how drivers around me looked at her. I get far more "two down" hand signs from other motorcyclists, and I have gotten more "Nice bike" comments from people since April than I got in the three years I had the PCX combined.

Bigger must have an effect on perception.

Ever since I’ve gotten my Like 150i, more people ask me about it then all the time I had my Lance Havana. Plus I am getting a lot more “two down” from motorcycles now.  Everyone thinks it’s a Vespa.  So yeah perception does play a part

New they were around $1400, so I’d guess $1000/$900 somewhere around there
