« on: October 02, 2011, 10:50:58 AM »
here are some photos of kappa 440A on my agility.
there is some turbulence and strange echo on higher speed but I got used to it.it's directing air stream off my hands and over the top of the helmet.
streido, is there are any effect in everyday use by your mod?where and how it afects air flow?

I got me a Kappa 440A windshield and fittings for 55 eur but I left stock rear view mirrors cos I like em. It's simple and classic look.

sounds like it's a crankcase breather and it's a part of engine overheat protection.

I got some 400 miles trips with ag50, so my advices are-

-don t use free flow air filters. Use your stock air filter and crankcase breather cos it s a part of engine overheating protection.

-change engine and final reduction oil with high quality fully synthetic

-take basic tool kit you got with your scoot + a piece of sandpaper, spare spark plug, classic grip pliers, a can of engine oil, adjustable wrench and tire repair kit.

Generaly, I advise not to use wot for long period. You will get to the point where you got top speed no matter you twist full throttle or 3/4. You will feel when engin is gonna start to loose power as it gets warm, so take a break for red bull or coffee and let your machine  to cool down for at least 15 mins.
Also, I advise you to use kindey belt because it helps a lot. Without the belt , cos of helmet weight, I got neck pain very quickly.

safe ride and good luck  ;D

yeah, there is no reson to lie about top speeds. We are not fishermans  ;D

So:

standard 50cc engine
cdi cut
#84 jet
cr7hix ngk iridium
air box modification
racing carb intake manifold
malossi multivar kit(smooth drive boss ofcourse)
7 gr rollers (for this tes only), 5.5 gr for everyday use
748 mm malossi kevlar
quality full synth engine and transmission oil

I tested it an hour ago and got me to 57 mph gps on a 3% downhill

Dale4, I got 52 mph (garmin gps) and tacho off the scale. Usual de-restriction + 740 mm belt.

The best one can do on agility 50 is regular maintanace, iridium spark plug and variator upgrade to racing and right rollers and torque spring. Also drive belt wear is affecting top speed and general performance a lot. So belt check and replacing is gonna make things better and good to your variator.
Big bore kit is a waste of money if you ask me. oem CDI is giving a max of 9.000 rpm's and that is what you get whether it's 50, 70 or 90 cc cylinder. All you'll get is better start and mid range performance but have in mind you need a bigger diameter carburettor and it doesn't come cheap. Also, bbk is putting  more stress and wear on your crankshaft and other components.

you're right. worn roller/rollers can make echo across engine bay

than check cylinder head valves tolerance. also, piston rings can make some noise when cold.
variator can make some unpleasant sounds, but you said it's on the other side of the engine.
if your scooter have enough power and running fine it should be nothing serious at 6.000 km

could be worn crank shaft bearings. when the metal is hot(warmed up engine) it expands and the rattle is decreasing.

how many kms is on your scooter?
serious engine damage shouldn't occur before 40 - 50.000 km if scooter is propperly serviced 'cos kymco use quality materials.

I think it's a wrong belt. if you've changed it, try puting the old one and see what's happens.

a month ago, a woman in nissan murano scratched left side of me and my scoot.
it was my foult cos I was going through the stationary cars to go in the front of semaphore.she didn't stopped but I chased her for 0.5 mile just to tell her it's my foult and not nice she didn't stop to even ask if I'm ok. Her comment was that it's not her suv and what if she f***ed the paint up!!! I just said good luck and drove away.

the fact is I did scratched the paint. while still new, my scoot fell down from the side stand and broke rear brake lever so I used angle grinder to shape the end of it but it still had some sharp edges. so that's what made a long scratch from the right front light to the rear stop light.

but luckily, all damage is done on my central stand she run over with the rear right wheel and right rear view mirror hit me in the shoulder. Missed kick start lever but hit the cent. stand!!!  and  I put down only right leg while all this mess happened ::)

so streido mate, it's good you're fine and check rear wheel for damage

just got back from a 100 mile trip and found 737 Bando to be the mildest belt to my variator :-)
it puts the least heat on cvt cover and feels so smooth wich I appreciate
