Hi Guys,

I have this problem with my 2012 50CC 2-stroke Super 8 scooter. The mods I did is listed below:

1. Changed stock exhaust to a Leo Vince performance exhaust with restriction removed.
2. Changed stock roller weights to a 5.7g per weight.
3. Changed stock main jet to 88mm.

My maximum speed is 70kph. I like it so far at least it is unrestricted and can travel faster.

Now last night I was traveling at full speed and came to a stopped traffic light. Then suddenly the engine lost power even though I turned the throttle up.

I checked the scooter when I got home and saw out that petrol is coming out of the air filter. I tried re-starting the scooter both by cranking and electric but it just did not start or had trouble re-starting.

I searched online and found out that probably I have a flooded carb.

Has anyone had this same situation before?

Are the weights have the same size, or is it different from a 4T?

Hello. They are DRL's for daylight driving lights. Pretty much the same as parks lights. Here in Australia it is required for motorbikes and scooters to have their headlights on when ever on the road day and night. So to save battery by using headlights,  these low consumption lights are used.
