« on: November 23, 2016, 09:35:01 AM »
my little 125 has done 9500km ( that nearly 6000miles) (origional belt cluth etc) and i love dong long distances. so that definately is why there is a step. think i'll just replace the disks and the belt and so on. from what i've read it seems that the origional Kymco goods seems to better through the bank so i'll be aiming at that!

thanks

Super 8 150 / Kymco S8 125 Electric just cut out
« on: November 22, 2016, 07:26:37 AM »
hi guys, i have a 2013 Super8 125cc. the electrical system just cuts out intermittently. the alternator charges like it should on all 3 phases and the regulator gives me the desired 14-ish volts, battery is measuring fine but there are no lights no fuel gauge, no hooter, and the starter motor obviously also is not turning. i stripped some covers off the other day and it just started working, tugged and pulled al the cables to see if i could make it switch off. and it was find. rode to work , all fine. when i switched it on to go home, nothing. it starts on a kick start but there are no other electrics. all 3 the fuses are fine !

any tips on where to look further. i've checked all the connections i can find (i have not looked under the floorboards yet - do i need to) and everything seems secure. bar me taking all the covers off and undoing and redoing all the connectors, any tips - please :-\.

also does anyone have a clear wiring diagram for these bikes?

thanks!

Done it, and it sorted me right out! thanks so much!

my biggest problem was that i could not find  a proper complete wiring diagram for this scooter. that would have been handy. but i'll keep searching.

thanks again for the help!

Super 8 150 / CDI and lights issue <SOLVED>
« on: December 14, 2015, 11:23:36 AM »
Hi all!

http://www.kymcoforum.com/index.php?topic=1595.0 is a very old thread that i dug up. i have 2013 S8 125cc (could not find the right board for it this seemed closest) has someone come up with a alternative to replacing the CDI to recitify the headlights not working issue? the CDI here (South Africa) cost the equivalent to $130US so i'm really keen to get some alternative. any after marker non-oem product that would be better that you are aware of?

thanks in advance!
