I've got a spare nose cone, CDI and lock set if you're interested.  The key is slightly bent (insurance job), but it works.  Nose cone isn't super pretty.  I have a scratched red one, a decent shape grey one (off an 07) with damage to the decals, and an orange one with a few scratches on it.

e-mail josh@thescootergarage.com

up and running as of today....getting the new ignition switch on was a PIA ...i do not think the guys ever got started as the 15 amp fuse was blown
left josh a pm and email email for a new front end...they busted out the whole side to get to the wires
oh well ... while not as fast as my jmstar b09 (150) its a hell of allot smoother ride.
cant wait to take it to work tomorrow

thanks for your help

The old ones had a green wire on the CDI box that looped out of the bottom.  You could unplug this.  That's for the liquid cooled models
thanks for the info ...just got a new cdi for my stolen super 9 and it does have a green wire coming out the back :)

i am in wilmington nc...so it should not be that muh of a wait,,,,thoughts are of just
a)getting original from loal honda kymco dealer along with new lock mech and see if it will start....then worry about cosmetics
b)ordering and working with http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx

local honda/kymco  shop wants 90 for the cdi and 60 for the ignition
switch assembly

Super 9 / just found stolen super 9...but.....
« on: April 10, 2010, 01:14:47 AM »
my super 9 was stolen in december,1 day after i got back the repair shop.i happened to stop in today to  get a throttle cable holder which brole  on my jmstar....lo and behold he tells me ~some guys~ just dropped of this super 9 a few months ago and wondered if it was mine....i went in and told him 2 days after it was stolen to be on the look out for it but for reasons unknown yet known ...he never called...been sitting in hi showroom the whole time
any way the thiefs ripped off the front bezzle and fubared the wires on the ignition switch ....i need to get a new one .that i understand
what gets me though is that battery was out and the cdi is missing.....it appears to me that he used it for some other bike which pisses me off even more
my questions are
1)can i use an aftermarket cdi and if so what brand honda qants 90.00
2)need replace front bezel...any parts places you know that might have one
its a 2006 watercooled front rear disc brake model....thanks...len

honestly ...i want to punch a nun....but here is the deal
i bought this 2007 super 9 from some guy ...took it for a test ride ...sputtered but he told me it was carb problems...no big deal ...it died 5 miles into my first ride and would not start back up
i hauled to wilmington honda who is an authorized kymco dealer
tech told me the oil injector went south and it needs a new crank and top end...$1000
eek
i really do not want to put that kind of money into it ...with the 500 i paid
anyway i am trying to make chicken salad out of chicken sh** and would like all the feedback
etc you all can give me on my dilema... can i do this myselfe ? parts ...i am very mechanically inclined but work 50-60 hours a week

let me know with links to parts...whole engines etc...  my email addy is lnp63@ymail.com
if you want to contact me direct

thanks
