Yeah,I really do not want to mess with a good thing.Just wonderin,WHY.Is the engine just really comfortable with itself. Is there something about THIS,particular 17.5mm carb,is the intake different? The carb is stock.Rear tire stock,Hell, everything is stock.I realize from reading here, the thought and effort put into these little machines,By people who know a lot more than I do,to achieve this speed. But I have done nothing, and not knowing why it moves like a pissed off bee, bugs the livin sh** outta me.Does anyone know?Is the 2005 Canadian model super9 l.c.different in some way.and yeah, they quit shipping them to Canada, because of emissions.Yeah right,We can't get them any more because,They're CHEAP and FUN.

A true 55 mph is phenomenal!  My 2004 Super 9 only goes to 45-49 mph (not gps) with only derestriction and cutting the cdi rev limiter.  No other mods. And the 49 mph is going downhill......

Hi,I'm new to this.I have a question,I read about guys modding up your scoots and the speeds you are getting.I don't get it.I have a canadian model 2005 super 9 lc, I just bought, put new rings in and broke it in properly. It came stock with a 17.5mm carb, and it will do 88 k,that is almost 55 mph gps.absolutely no mods what so ever.my question,is there something different about the canadian model...I have not yet even unplugged the cdI. stock as a freakin rock.whats up.
