You can fill it up to the the bend in the neck, I usually just filled mine up to about 2"-3" from the top.  I always just topped mine off about every other fill up w/ gas.  There is a light on the dash that will come on, if it works, when the oil is low.  I never wanted to test it though!

Well, so far so good. As I am newby to scootering and fairly old (52) too, I was worried that it might not be for me. Not because of the potential danger (I am an ex speed freak and used to track race cars) but because it might be...well...erm..boring and a quite too "young" for me.

How wrong was I? It is great fun - especially out here in the sun and as the road are fairly quiet now (just 25k people live on the island) there is plenty of room  to experiment without worrying about others too much.

A quick question now. Hw often should I check the oil near the gas tank and how do i know how much to put in?

As it happens, I bit the bullet this afternoon and bought the Kymco and will pick it up tomorrow. It drove really well on the test drive and that before it has its service and general overhaul. It is privately owned, (a bonus on the island filled with hire shops) the pearl blue colour, has covered 10k km's and comes with twelve months waranty. And an even better part is it has cost me just 500 euro which I am very pleased with.  ;D

Hiya folks this is a quick hello to introduce myself and get some advice.

I am an ex pat living and working on the Greek island of Kos and I am hoping to join the ranks of the Kymco owners soon as I am currently looking at a ZX50 Super Fever model that is for sale on the island. I am also looking at a Piaggio NRG MC2 scooter with approximately the same mileage but it is not quite as good condition. Both are being sold by the same shop and at the same price.

My question is (and I am aware that as I am on a Kymco forum there may be bias) which do you consider to be the better scooter and more importantly, why?
