Thanks guys! I'll change the plug and try to find the non-ox fuel and see if that does the trick.
thanks again,

Such a tragedy...So sorry you're going through this! However, the gear you were wearing most likely saved your life, or quality of it!. Limbs are important, but not needed to live a normal life. I'll keep reading your posts, and pray for your speedy recovery.
Best,
Bear

General Discussion / The perfect fuel?
« on: July 09, 2016, 10:06:31 PM »
Im new to Scooters, and was told to only run non oxygenated gas?  The Scoot is a 2010 carborated 250 GV with 12k on it. I put unleaded 93 octane in with about 2oz of Sea Foam, due to some sputtering when accelerating, and dying when cold. Am I running the proper fuel, or should I try to find Non-Ox fuel? The dealer recommended E0, No ethanol added fuel. Comments?

General Discussion / Are Michelin Power Pure tires good?

I have a 2010 GV 250 and I'm trying to purchase new tires for it. The front 120/70-12, and the rear 140/70-12. Due to the size I'm limited to what rubber i can put on. I tried the Metzeler's, and the Michelin City Grips, but the size prevented purchase. I was able to order the Michelin Power Pure...Comments?

I canceled the Avon tires and tried to purchase the Metzelre's, but due to the wheel size (front 120/70-12, rear 140/70-12) they couldn't order them. Also tried to order the Michelin city grips, but once again the size of the wheel; however, I was able to order Michelin power pure ($45.99 front, $48.99 rear)...Any comments?

Thanks guys-Apparently I'm stuck with the Avon's. I talked to the Scooter shop and Avon are all they can get due to the wheel size...Strange?

Kymco News / Avon tires

I just bought a new to me 2010 GV 250 (12k miles). Tires are mismatched and cupped. front is a Maxxis and rear is an Avon. I am not familiar with Avon tires, but just ordered 2 to be put on in a week. The scoot will be sent out to Palm Springs (from MSP)-will the heat affect the Avon tires, and or should I switch to a different tire before its too late.
